Oh well, EG was our former 1st round pick, played for us for 2 years and we had high expectation on him.

I believe someone actually started a thread on him a few months back.
After all, you don't need to read the posts that you are not interested in.

 

He usually did pretty well in preseason when he played for the Rox, if memory serves. And he would light up the summer leagues. But when the season started, he didn't want to bang inside, and he was always throwing up that totally flat 3.

 

Stop posting EG threads. It pushes useful threads to the next page. Some of you guys really need to learn the concept of sunk cost.

Eddie's second game of the season: 25 minutes, 3-11 shooting, 0-1 3-pointers, 5-6 at the line, 9 rebounds (3 offensive), 2 blocks, 3 turnovers, 1 foul, 11 points in a 99-96 vicotry over Atlanta. He's gotten significant minutes in both games so far and, while he hasn't been gangbusters, he's had some decent production. His shooting was great in this game, but his rebounding was strong. If he keeps it up, he'll be part of the rotation.

I think he meant to say that "His shooting wasn't great..."

 

With Gary Trent signing with the Bulls (although rumor is he will be cut soon) that means the backup PF spot for the Wolves is there for the taking. Griffin will battle with Madsen for that spot. I think Griffin will win that spot and I agree with JV in that Griffin will probably get rotation minutes off the bench. It will be interesting to see how he does.

He has now played two games and has only attempted ONE 3ptr.

Yeah, 11 points, 9 boards, and 2 blocks is not bad at all in 25 minutes of action. If he keeps that up, I will have to think up something juicy for SamFisher's sig.

 

Eddie Griffin looked good again last night. 15 points 5 rebounds 2 blocked shots and a bunch of intimidation misses by the other team. The wolves were getting killed by the Pistons. And then Eddie came in and shut down the middle. Eddie was playing center most of the time. And Minnesota plays much better with him on the courst than Olawakandi. Eddie shut down the wallaces. Minnesota will win it all this year. Eddie is hustling like never before. The kids been off a year is 22 years old and has so much upside. I wish the Rockets could get him somehow. Oh wait we did have him.
