I think Griffin can STILL make it.

If he gets his act together, keeps adding muscle till next training camp, then any team that signs him would essentially be adding a draft pick because the guy is still younger than Yao, he's in his very early 20's. Under the right coach, he could still be a damn good player.

Darko will be great. He's just in a bad situation right now playing for the pistons since they are good and don't need him and cause Brown hates playing young guys. He'd be putting up good numbers if Denver drafted him and he actually got a chance to play.

Did you see when he finally got some playing time and went up for that wide open dunk and rim-checked it. That looked very bad.

What really would annoy me if he does become a bust is having to hear Dick Vitale go off on a "I told you so" rants during the upcoming drafts.

The following are players drafted in the 80's who either were worse than Eddie at the same point in their careers, or who I think Eddie will eventually surpass:

James Earl Ray #5 in '80
    Russell Cross #6 in '83
Mel "Dinner Bell" Turpin #6 in '84
    Chris Washburn #3 in '86
    William Bedford #6 in '86
    Dennis Hopson #3 in '87
    Tim Perry #7 in '88
    Danny Ferry #2 in '89
    Stacey King #6 in '89
