Now we know why Griffin is the STARTER

Now we know why Eddie usually comes out hot and slowly taper off. I guess the weed does work. Maybe Eddie should switch to a brand that would last for 4 quarters.

Just another bashing for Eddie's mistake. I hope he'll learn from this.

I wonder if Eddie is doing it because of peer pressure or just maybe for temporary relieve from problems and pressure.

Suspend him for the rest of the season? Are you kidding me?

Hit his pocket book, suspend him for a game, but lets not go overboard here. I thought players got the more severe punishment (3 days ?) if they repeat the incident (see portland).

Every young black guy I know was pulled over by a cop at sometime in his life. It happens often in the East coast states.

Drinking to excess kills the liver, not moderate drinking. That is the major difference, drinking can be done in moderation whereas you don't always know what the pot is going to do. Rockets are better than this.

maybe Rocket Rich NYC can back me up on this one...i don't know...but i know for a fact there's at LEAST one other "star" rocket that twists one up on occasion.

personally, i see know problem with the moral aspect of it. but at least be smart enough to not get caught, or, in the above-referenced rocket's case, don't do it at the freakin' barber shop...

Sydmil, Pleaseeeeeeeeee! You are going to quote Jesus in regard to Griffin's behavior! We are not condemning him eternally, we declaring his poor judgement. And what he does in his personal life IS an issue. He is a millionaire sports figure; he is responsible for any action that affects his performance. I bet you, that statement in some form is in his contract. I know it is in the league rules. And futhermore, when did crime become "my own business. a private matter?" Civics 101, crime is a violation of a public law code!

That can be said about mar1juana usage. I don't think you will find any lawmaker who would argue that if they knew people would only smoke in moderation that it still wouldn't be Okay. The questions about mar1juana are,

    Is it addictive
    and
    Is it a gateway drug.

    blah, blah, blah.

    Alcohol is worse than pot.

So are the incredibly powerful and addictive painkillers he can get even easier.

The fact that people are getting so upset over this just boggles my mind, when most, if not all, NBA players can get far more dangerous substances legally and whenever they want.

    Perspective.

That's crazy!!!!! You think that, after the buzzer sounds at the end of the 4th quarter, the Rockets can just go home and do anything they want until the next game begins?!?!?!

You think that the jobs of NBA players are just like the jobs that all the rest of us have??? They can just punch a card and they're off duty?

That they can do whatever they want in their 'spare time' ???

Well like I said, you don't know what you are getting with pot, it might get you high off a drag, it might do jack crap. However, the potential is there for getting high off one drag. Therefore, it can't really be said that it can be done in moderation.

I'm not arguing about Eddie's obligation to his contract and his responsibilities. But as far as Eddie's mar1juana use affecting you, I would like to know how it affects Solid.

Please don't play the race card. For all we know the cop that pulled him over was black.

He screwed up period, and he hurt his team period, and he wasn't worth three first round picks period, and I hope the Rockets dump his under achieving ass during the summer period.

    HUH?

trust me...that is still classified as "possession" and depending on the amount, "with intent".

verse is right - pot in the glove box (or, anywhere in the car) is considered to be in the driver's posession (as far as the law is concerned)
