Well, Vernon is a pretty big nut bag. Plus, we lucked out with Olajuwon - he was a hot head and his temper was very short when he entered the league("You must always give the Dream back his change! *SLAP*) - we got lucky that Akeem became Hakeem later on in his career. Just like any team, the Rockets have had their share of loons and headcases, though I don't think that Eddis getting arrested is as big a deal as we're making of it.
When I hear someone refered to as a dopehead ,I think its a person on hard drugs, so immersed that his life is taken over by the culture of drugs? Eddie having been caught with posession of pot does not make him a dopehead! I dont wish to draw too many conclusions, as all the info. that I have is second hand.

I think that it affects Eddie in a negative way and it is obvious in his lack of aggression. He camps out behind the three pt line like Sam Perkins,(obvious to the world how baked he was his last three seasons). Eddie is complacent on offense and very non aggressive, and now we know why. He could probably block a few more shots on defense too. He would only have to swing at one ball instead of 2 or 3. Sorry Ed, we need you to straighten up and get with the program.
i dont know about u guys, but when i smoke (the day before or even the same day) i play a lot better. =)
I think everyone needs to calm down....this is not as big a deal to the team as it is to the public...think about it..do you really think that Eddie is the only guy who smokes weed in the rockets organization.....His teamates will not be distracted from this minor issue.....Lets just take a deep breathe and GOOO ROCKETSS!!!!

I personally could care less. It will always be a black eye to the team and orginization. This is today's NBA, where the player puts himself before the organization and his city, and a big reason as to why the Rockets attendance is in the tank. Nobody wants to root for a bunch of young punks, except for other young punks.
This is stupid. Why are the Rockets a bunch of punks because of two guys smoking mar1juana. The Rockets did just fine when Vernon Maxwell played and he did a lot worse. The Rockets don't do well in attendance because of their recent history of losing. You need to chill out.
Thats because a young punk is stupid and will drive around with it in his car daring to be caught like a little rebel. While a mature person will wait until he gets home.
this sucks, but i am not surprised since i went to highschool with ed and this is not the first time he had weed, just the first time he got caught. and YES I WENT TO THE SAME HIGHSCHOOL AS EDDIE GRIFFIN I SWEAR ON MY LIFE
