This stiff left his heart in Baltimore and scammed the Texans for a 1-year contract. Should've suspected this when he was shaky on signing . Missing the younger and hungrier Glover Quin right about now.

It will be for 1 year.

He will get cut in the off-season.

Exactly. Why throw deep when you can just throw to the TE over the middle for a 30 yard gain pretty much on queue?

I love that Reed is bragging about how well he's playing when the team is on a 5-game losing streak.

    HORRIBLE SIGNING

I know he looks bad in this play, but that's an easy miss. Watching the gif fakes me out.

I only say it's an easy miss if Mitchell and Smith don't get pushed out of the way completely. Had they held their ground, I'd be more understanding in Reed biting on that fake, because he would have little to no view of the play and also be more needed on the outside with them holding the point of attack. As it was though, Mitchell and Smith got completely destroyed on that play, Reed way overbought, and Smith walked into the EZ virtually untouched.

Not that it really matters, though it does kinda... That was Terrell McClain getting destroyed along with Smith, not Earl Mitchell. I'd like to think that Mitchell would have managed to stay in the way just a little better and maybe that gap wouldn't have been the size of a garage door.

Actually, I believe that was just the way they drew it up. It was kind of a trick play.

I remember hearing it was a designed run, but the direction of the fake handoff had to be a goof.

well, why throw deep in 3rd and 21, when you can just do a 3 yard screen pass and make all the defense miss to get a 40 yard gain.

Ed Reed was our big free agent "splash" during the offseason.

Now, lets queue that pic of Morey in madison square garden.

    That gif shows several things.

Our LB's made horrible reads, our D-line made horrible leads, and Ed Reed went with the flow. He isn't the guy to single out there. That is a team problem.

HIS assignment is the Quarterback, not the running back.
