Except that this same law has been used to stop a political rally from happening at an Eagle lodge in Montana. http://www.stopthedrugwar.org/chronicle/290/dearave.shtml This is a great illustration of how prohibition laws infringe on the rights of all people, not just those who choose to ingest that crap. The DEA actually went to the Eagle lodge and threatened them with a quarter million dollar fine if even a single person was caught smoking pot at a political rally sponsored by NORML. This is nearly as bad as throwing elderly people out of their homes if someone who lives there is caught with drugs, even if the drug use or possession was outside the home. http://www.stopthedrugwar.org/chronicle/230/supremefailure.shtml I would rather that we have drug laws that reduce drug use and availability to children, something that can be accomplished with regulation. Under prohibition, our children will continue to get addicted and die at the same rate every year.
First thing, I never said it was evil to slave for products and gadgets to buy, you just made that up. I think it is misguided to do this, though, and does not lead to any lasting happiness. I also do not believe drugs bring you happiness, but they can stimulate your brain to think in different ways that may lead you to discover how you want to live your life to truly be happy. This was not my point, however. My point is that the U.S. government will lie in order to control the thoughts and actions of its citizenry, and our government has overhyped the dangers of certain drugs, made it seem like all drugs are equally addictive and dangerous, which is not true and have enacted draconian sentencing for something that someone chooses to do to alter their own brain chemistry, which I don't see how is any of their business.
Wow! That's all I have to, like, say! This is such great NEWS! And all of y'all are, like, the greatest cyber friends a guy could have. The BEST, yea!
Didnt our president volunteer to research ecstasy in the 80's ? That Bush, not only has he served this country proudly, he's been ahead of his times as well.
It also show that speed kills, and its cheaper to make hence likely to be sold to you instead of the X you think you are buying and ...bingo kill ya, that's why X changed drastically around 1992, it began to have more speed & coincidentlly kill more people & get more press....I need a latte'
