A good point, Refman. Those of us with large credit card limits (folks, it doesn't mean we max them out... just that the banks love us!) tend to forget that if someone has maxed out a $3000 limit, getting $1200 (2 parents and 2 kids) can pay off nearly half of it. More likely is that a family would send some to the bank towards the credit card and use some to buy clothes for the kids, etc. Still gets money into the economy and hopefully builds confidence so people will spend more, the purpose of the exercise. Impeach Bush.
i dont think you are understanding what i said at all. 1 in bold...i agree. thats what the bill is "suppose to do". I AGREE. 2 in bold, I didnt say that redistribution was the "point" of the bill, but it is doing that to a certain extent. 3 in bold...you said the point of the bill is too stimulate the economy, and i agree. Now you say it provides no serious solutions. i agree too.
oh yeah...i forgot to think where you purposely being an a-hole? or was that by accident? progressive legislation huh? thats a page out of my book by saying i disagree with torture but agree with aggressive interrogations redistribution of goods (in this case money) by the govt isnt, at the very least, somewhat socialist? sure about that one?
there ya go. We can all agree on that. Although that doesnt sound as cool and "proactive" as progressive legislation
I didn't think this would need a new thread, so get ready for early money, DIWK peeps! http://money.cnn.com/2008/04/24/pf/taxes/Stimulus_checks/index.htm?section=money_topstories/ From http://www.savvysugar.com/1576586 : "Hi. My name is ______. I love money!" <- name that cartoon character, since you have kids... (difficulty: moderate)
I do have a question. I used a third party to do my taxes (Turbo tax) and they deposited the money for me. Does that mean I will get a paper check or electronic deposit?
It's a choice on your 1040. If you give them account information, it's a direct deposit, if not they mail you a check.
So, since my refund was direct deposited then I will get direct deposit on the rebate thing too then, right?
