I was inspired by 3 different movies I watched Sunday, each of which had one of these actors and their distinctive styles. I guess eccentric would be the word? Anyway, I am limiting it to these 3 as I feel these are the most notable based on popularity (easy to find one of their movies on cable at any given time) and longevity (4-5 decades each). And because its my ****ing thread. Goldblum - The Right Stuff, Jurassic Park, The Fly, Thor Ragnarok et al His role in The Right Stuff was small and not very noteworthy but citing the movie because it is one of my favorite s of all time. I think the Thor movie was my favorite. The whole movie was great but his style really kept the movie going. Keaton - Mr. Mom, Batman, Pacific Heights, Birdman et all "220/221 whatever it takes". Legendary quote that will be used forever. If yoiu haven't seen Birdman Walken - The Deer Hunter, Pulp Fiction, Catch Me if You Can, SNL (The Bruce Dickinson) I appreciate this guy and his style. Perhaps the most mimicked of the 3. He has had big parts and small in some legendary movies. My verdict? I am cutting Walken from my list first. Its close on Goldblum and Keaton. I enjoy almost every movie of theirs that I have seen. Their styles can be pleasing. Give me Keaton. I haven't seen all his movies but even the bad ones like Multiplicity are very watchable based on his style.
Forgot to mention Jackie Brown for Michael Keaton. His over the top annoyed coolness as a fed was very well done.
