Glad I was wrong about Washington quitting tonight. They def had plenty of opportunities to fold and they kept fighting.

Some people just can't believe that collectively most current NBA players/former players are disgusted by James Harden's performance last night. Everyone's trying to prove that they are NOT like him. His rep is permanently tarnished.

Glad someone called out harden like that. Now which free agent is going to want to play with harden now.

Boston blew the game and Brad Stevens sounded deflated afterwards.

Well, he looks better than Harden because of recency bias. No one would take John Wall > Harden before last night...that recency bias is going to kick in hard though.

Could also be that he's playing against a team not as good as the Spurs either.

Recency bias does not apply to Harden last night. When you quit and disgrace your team and the spirit of competition, it's who you are. The quitter that we saw last night was the same quitter we saw all year, we just never saw him tested until last night.

Nah, I've seen this story over and over again whenever the Rockets are eliminated. Some other star player gets propped up just to further the Harden sucks/quitter/lazy narrative. Whether it be Paul George, Jimmy Butler, or friggin OJ Mayo, it's always someone. I guess since Harden is a point guard it'll be John Wall's turn. Thankfully for Wall, he's better than those other guys I mentioned above though.

I don't think he quit, I think he choked, I think there is a pretty big difference.

Are the Celtics actually worse than a Spurs team without Leonard & Parker though?

Nope, but the Spurs defense is better than theirs. It's not like too we played the Spurs without Kawhi for the entire series. We played the Spurs with a top 5 player for most of this series. Defensively, the Spurs figured the Rockets completely out. Pack the paint, cover shooters, and we were done.

Harden should have done more, but I said it then too, we were never beating them with a 7 man rotation. It wasn't going to happen. Mainly because it is a really bad idea to have your PG play PF/C on defense. The only reason it worked in game 5 was because LMA and Pau sucked, when they played better...you know what, this is a thread about the Celtics/Wizards.

Why would Wall feel the need to talk about Harden? Unless they have some behind-the-scenes across-conference beef, you're better at making up drama than TNT.

finally another competitive game in round 2. Guess I was right with the series going 7. I'm thinking Boston will win though, they had it and blew it in the final minute

That guy dismissed someone's suspect claim that Harden was at Treasures at 4am after game 5 .... and directly followed with his OWN claim that Harden was DRUGGED by 2 p*rn stars ....?

Its obvious people these days just believe what they want to believe, or say whatever gets reactions, with little incentive to being factual and accurate.
