Poetic justice. Those fans in Toronto are for real and deserve this 100%. Ben Simmons is pure trash. I could not believe the story about him never going to a single class at LSU, because his handlers told him the season would be over before the academic process could go thru for him to be expelled. It shows the true character of Simmons. He doesn't care about a single person besides himself. He is a cancer on that team.
6:49 left in the 4th Embiid gets raked in the eyes on a rebound and goes down. Refs stop the game and review the play. Gasol cited for a common foul. Compare that to when donkey raked Harden's eyes... No stopping play, no review.. That's some bullshit
Personally I don’t mind it that much. If he wants to play then go ahead but don’t use rest card as some excuse. He has. Still doesn’t mean he has his weakness in the postseason that’s holding him back
Agreed, but Embiid has been a huge let down too, especially since he likes to talk a lot...against the Nets he made what he wanted but that was easy, against the Raptors and Gasol the guy shoot 36% from the field and grabbed 8.7 rebounds, for a center with that body and talent these are pathetic numbers.
BTW not sure if anyone's mentioned this but that's the first Game 7 walk-off in NBA Playoff history. Chris Paul came close in 2015 vs the Spurs with 2 seconds left.
I don’t like the disrespectful attitude that the 76’rs have. I have followed both Lowery and Gasol for years now. I’d root for the Raptors because they have a good thing going. But I saw that replay on the Kwai shot, the guy took 5 steps after his last dribble. I think it’s time to add a few more officials into the court because the refs miss too many calls, or conveniently look the other way which, feed conspiracy theories.
He still killed them on offense though, for a center like him shooting 36% from the floor is just awful.
The ball bounced on the rim long enough for people to put their phones away...(except the woman next to Embiid video recording the hoop...)
He took 1 step after his last dribble, then planted both feet for the shot. So while you could argue he took 3 steps, no way he took 5.
Ben Simmons said he'll focus on expanding his range this offseason. 99.4% of Simmons shots during his sophomore season came from inside the arc, with an overwhelming majority of those attempts coming from 0-3 feet out. Through two years in the league, he's attempted a grand total of 17 3-pointers, and he's connected on precisely zero of them. It's unrealistic to expect Simmons to suddenly become a 3-point shooter next season, but at least having a reliable jumper would greatly improve his game -- and Philly's offense.
