The Pacers must be feeling like the Kings playing against the Lakers back in the days. It's quite depressing when you realize that the refs aren't going to let your opponent lose.

There is no replay trigger to review a kicked ball call.” 00:10.7 — Myles Turner Offensive Foul — Incorrect Non-Call “Turner (IND) extends into DiVIncenzo's (NYK) path and delivers contact with his side during the screen.”
Wonder what harden could have done if the refs treated him like Brunson. Could he have had a 40 ppg playoff? Would’ve been crazy
if you are standing out of bounds and the ball hits you before it hits anything else out of bounds, it's out on you. That call was right. The kick ball call was 100% wrong. The refs admitted that after the game. It never hit the defenders foot or leg at all, just the hand. That was a possession that the Knicks then got 3 points from. The shot clock violation on Haliburton was 100% wrong. Tons of screenshots with the ball out of his hand and 0,1 sec on the shot clock. The flop / offensive foul on Turner was ridiculous. Straight up flop with the very definition of minimal contact. Even the Stan Van Gundy was questioning it. That was just bad. I could go on, and there might have been bad calls favoring the Pacers, but they were far in the minority. I am never one to blame the refs but this game was ESPECIALLY bad.
Why in the WORLD is that a call that you CAN'T CHALLENGE? my biggest gripe officiating wise... can't even challenge that kicked ball call, which would have changed the game significantly. Knicks don't get the 3 and the Pacers have possession with tie game and 50 seconds left
Where I am not going is to the opinion of "the fix is in" and "the NBA won't let NY lose". That whining is disappointing to hear and in my opinion is absolute baloney fact 1: the G1 officiating was HORRIBLE fact 2: much of it was horrible in NY's favor fact 3: officials are human, make mistakes, and so do replay officials fact 4: a home crowd atmosphere often leads to mistakes favoring the home team. Uncle Mo effect. fact 5: Stars get calls. Brunson is a star. I remember a home plate umpire once admitting "If Tony Gwynn didn't swing at a pitch and thought it was a ball, I called it a ball. He knows what he's doing". When a Bird, MJ, Lebron, or (it seems) Brunson misses, they think "wow, he must have been fouled!" Frankly, when errors are fully explainable by incompetence, there is no need go to orchestrated conspiracies. Yes, crooked officiating can happen. Donaghy existed. But that sort of stuff isn't exactly widespread, though with the greater and greater ease of by-the-minute gambling, I do worry about crooked refs. But we need more than a couple of bad calls to go there.
That's wrong. It's like when a player tries to save a ball while going out of bounds and then accidentally steps on the line. Same thing. Pacers ball was the right call.
It's a It's a bad rule. If you have two feet down out of bounds you might as well be a coach on the bench or a fan. Every out of bounds save you is with the player air borne. The last inbounds player to touch the ball is who it should be out on in my opinion.
