Harden will always be held up to the standard of not having many playoff "historic" moments. I wish he would of gone a little further last year so we can see the Lu Dort block over and over again. It is what it is. His bad games have been incredibly bad. I've never forgotten them and I'm a huge Harden fan. So people will always hate on this man because of those performances. Hope he is able to stay healthy and win a championship this year so people stop giving him crap.
He actually shot quite poorly from the field in game 7 as well. 7-20 from the field and 2-7 from the 3pt line. He got to 31 pts by virtue of making 15 free throws.
It's because they already have the reputation of being inefficient chuckers. There's no sense in complaining about the FG% of inefficient chuckers. That'd be like complaining about water being wet. And Kobe gets plenty of postseason criticism. He's blamed for losing the 2004 finals.
Harden fans like you really are interesting. At the start of the season, I predicted GSW wouldn't make the playoffs. They didn't, and people like you somehow twist that into me being wrong. So interesting.
31 points in 43 minutes, 7-20 from the field, 15-18 from the line, 7 turnovers. OK. Not as ineffectual as his game 6, but not exactly a great performance either. If this is the playoff highlight of his career, my point has been made.
It's definitely going to suck for the bucks if they can't come out of this series when they only had to deal with 2 of the 3 stars the entire series. These last 2/3 games are going to be interesting for sure. *popcorn ready*
Dude just stop. 31 points in a game 7 is 31 points in a game 7, he also had 8 asst, 7 rebounds and 3 steals and oh yeah a blocked shot. . This is a great example of how Harden is judged differently. You poo pooing that game shows you have an agenda. 31 points in 43 minutes is somehow a negative?
I can see that. The way the bucks were able to be extremely physical in the last game and completely remove any type of rhythm offensively for the nets is definitely not happening tonight. KD/Harden know what's at stake. They'll be ready
Confused. Harden has presumably a not 100% hamstring that is basically used for everything on the court. If the Bucks play physical, Harden's injury will make much harder for him to play through that.
https://www.basketball-reference.com/boxscores/201505170HOU.html Judged differently? A 100 ORtg on 35 Usg% is not a particularly good offensive game for anyone, let alone someone with Harden's abilities. Sorry, I have a different standard than you for what qualifies as a strong playoff game for an offensive centerpiece.
The refs allowed a ton of physicality in game 4. That same type of game won't be seen tonight In Brooklyn. Bucks can try to play as physical all they want and get there guys in foul trouble
It is not up to Kyrie or Harden to be "ready". They can force themselves to check into the game but if their body is not ready they either risk further injury and/or production is not going to be the same. They will just be another body on the court. Considering Harden had pulled his hammy in the regular season, rehabbed it, and was playing well until it was tigh again, this is not a quick turnaround. He needs an extended rest and recovery time.
Harden can make his own choice. He has that right. It's on him so yeah it is up to him to be "ready". Kyrie is pretty much out the rest of the series which ends saturday at the latest. That's a given nobody here is in any position to tell him what he can and cannot do.
Incorrect. The team doctors have to approve it. If Harden plays with an injured hamstring, that could cause him to overcompensate elsewhere which could lead to a significant injury.
