if harden was curry in 2019, curry would have been voted mvpo over giannis, the bucks won 60 games( big deal) their have been multiple seasons in league history where more than 4 teams won more than 60 in a season in the same year. The media just doesnt like james
yes i do actually shaq would be limited in this pace and space era. hed be barbeque chicken on an island for some of these elite guards of today
lol you can tell The Harden haters were really getting nervous. It was going to be really hard to act like Harden road anyone’s coattails or wasn’t just as awesome as always if he continued to play like he did in the first round. That injury was a big sigh of relief for that enjoyable bunch.
And in 2019, how many teams won 60+ games? Only the Bucks. So yeah, it kind of was a big deal. The media likes Harden just fine. If they didn't like him, he wouldn't have an MVP.
60 wins is not a lot of wins for an historic season, i stand by my statement, if you switch harden for curry and curry had the season harden had in 2019. the leftist media would vote curry mvp. I mean curry is a top 3 finalist this year and his team AINT EVEN IN THE PLAYOFFS LOL, they looking for any reason to give steph curry another mvp
Assuming you’re talking about 19, I’m really over the Durantless bullshit I read half the time. Durant missed 5 quarters. This is like saying Kawhi Leonard’s Toronto Raptors dethroned a juggernaut Golden State Warriors team. They won one game without him because the Rockets had no idea what to do with a pick and roll and Curry who forgot how to play basketball/took a break for most of the series decided to go off for a half.
No one is arguing Shaq would get tons of points. But even in his heyday, Shaq dominated more with sheer force of will and size than great post fundamentals. He also didn't really score that much to close games. Maybe a few plays, but Kobe, Wade and Nash were the closers. The whole illegal defense/zone rules were changed partly because it was so hard to guard to Shaq. Zion also faces the same issues that Shaq/Giannis do offensively. He also lacks a great deal of their rim protecting ability which make them more effective.
another thing i forgot to mention is with the physicality being taken completely out of the game, shaq would be raking up charges, and offensive fouls similar to dwight or demarcus cousins lol.
You stand by your statement? Who cares? Literally no one gives two craps about your statement. It's your arguments that matter, and your arguments are trash. Historically, 60 wins isn't a lot. But what's your point? It sounds like you don't understand the nature of the MVP. It's awarded on a year-by-year basis in a vacuum. Top 3 finalist? Again, who cares? Do you think the MVP voting will be close? Does it matter that Curry will finish a distant 3rd? Also, Curry led the Warriors to the 8th seed. The play-in games were irrelevant to MVP voting.
who is the last mvp finalist to not be a playoff team lol... come on just admit the media is bias towards your boy steph. everybody and all the players know it
And yet Curry won’t win MVP this year, not even close, and the only two seasons that he got significant number of 1st place votes are the years he won it and his team won 67 and 73 games. Pretty consistent, that. Be a superstar on a 1 seed, become the favorite to win MVP. It worked for Curry, Harden, and Giannis. It would have worked for Embiid except he missed too many games.
curry shouldnt be a finalist, PERIOD. basketball reference has it correct. matter of fact if we gave out accolades based on basketball reference and not the biased media how many more player of the month/week awards, all-nba, and mvps would harden have won( something to think about)
reggie miller is on record stating he voted for steph, im sure their are plenty others. just stop acting like the bias doesnt exsist when it comes to steph. we can all see it
Of course the media is biased towards Curry. Can you blame them? He's charismatic, and he's one of the most exciting players to watch. Also, since when did the NBA start announcing "finalists" for MVP?
