I'll pick against the Hawks again. Not sure about Embiid's health but I think the 6ers won't really need him to beat the Hawks but it'll be tough, of course, I just think their defense is better and they'll probably get enough scoring to move past them or hold the line until Embiid comes back...if he can come back.

 

Philly's defense vs. Trae's offense should be interesting.

 

trey will make easy work of embiid-less philly. mauri will cry and beg tillmen to let him back in

 

No embiid atl wins. Embiid plays he gives Philly the edge. Lets see if he is able to give it a go. Big risk doing so obviously

 

I'm not understanding why everyone is so sure that Atlanta wins if Embiid is out the whole series?

I feel like Philly actually has perimeter defenders to stifle Atlanta's offense.

 

I dont think Trae is guarding Simmons straight up this series.

I would like ATL to win this series cause theyre a good young team.

It's only the 1st game too. They can afford to be cautious and even rest him the first two games.

Sixers have a good shot to be 1-1 or even 2-0 vs hawks w/o embid.

They have zero shot at winning the title w/o embid if he gets injured because he's not ready.

I hope nets are cautious with harden and learn from the recent lessons from AD/Lakers, KD and Klay warriors.

The fired their coach. Nate McMillan took over and they're listening to him and playing smart and hard.

 

Trae Young.. wow. the confidence. Trae and Clint's confidence is what I love to see. there is real stock in believing you can win every game.... and talking sh*t while doing it

 

The young hawks are balling! Talk about not feeling the pressure or showing inexperience.

Probably couldn't have started much better for Nate and his young team. However I expect the game to get much tighter and slower once they start missing some of their threes and cooling off. They aren't going to shoot 70% fg and 50% from 3 the entire game.

 

Hawks had the talent, just needed to get mostly healthy and better coached.
