Westbrook’s TS% the past 4 years: 52, 50, 54, and 51...horrible except for the 1 year he was with Harden where he managed slightly below average Herro’s TS% is slightly below average because he doesn’t get to the line...he shot 44% from the field, 36% from 3, and 80% from the line which is solid Lol, could u also compare who Jrue is playing with in Milwaukee as opposed to New Orleans? His efficiency has nothing to do with switching conferences aside from the fact his EC team is much better and more talented than the teams he was on in the West. Let’s not just pull up stats with zero context Tyler Herro vs the WC this year: 45/39/77 shooting splits...so there goes that argument anyways
He averaged 15, 5, and 3 on 44/36/80 shooting splits as a 2nd year player, yet y’all want to act like he averaged 10 points a game this year. Idk when 15, 5, and 3 on those percentages from a 2nd year player drafted 13th was considered scrub play. If he keeps progressing, he will be a good player in this league. If we had a 2nd year guy putting up those stats, y’all would be calling him the next *insert star here the entire Miami team is fading...they all look like they don’t even want to be playing Nobody ever claimed Herro was some superstar or player that can carry a team. The discussion was would u take Herro over trading for Ben Simmons, and the answer for me is still hell yes. I would’ve rather traded for Herro still on his rookie deal that we would have under team control for years to come while still being bad enough to hopefully keep our top 4 protected pick than to trade for Simmons and be mediocre competing for the play-in and trying to build around a guy who can’t shoot before he leaves for LA when his contract is up. Who I really wanted was MPJr, but if it came down to Herro vs Simmons, I would take Herro and keeping our pick. That’s where it began and ended with regards to Herro.
I'm actually happy that we didn't make that trade...even while we have 0 players to show for the BKN trade, I much rather hold a team's draft rights for nearly a decade than get someone whose ceiling I think is a really nice Butler to your Batman & Robin...and that is again the ceiling for him I believe. I thinks its more likely that he becomes a mercenary shooter, going from team to team like Reddick or Seth Curry whenever someone needs shooting. Yeah he's a young player and could always get better but I personally don't see his game rounding out to be an all-star player that can affect multiple areas of the game. Like Russ, we gonna compare his TS% to Russ that's well and good but let's also remember Russ is also an elite rebounder, elite on the fastbreak, and runs offense because he can play point. Like yeah Russ can't shoot but he brings other things to a team. Something you find with consistent all-stars they affect multiple areas of the game. Herro just shoots. Defense meh, playmaking meh, physical tools....MEH. He's a great shooter when he's on...To me that just makes him a really nice shooter that will likely go from team to team that needs shooting. Maybe he can get better at scoring in general and become a Lou Will type...but I don't know we were arguing at the time if we would like MPJ, Jaylen Brown, Ben Simmons...those guys are WAY ahead and have a lot more potential than Herro does.
4 Heat players have double digit points, Giannis only has 5 points... ...and the Heat only lead by 7? Yikes.
They'll have a ton of cap space... Personally I'd like to see Kawhi sign with the Heat or Knicks tho either would be unlikely (dude loves living in SD/LA). If not Kawhi, there's Lowry and not much else on the market.
Jimmy Butler’s been a huge letdown it’s 1 thing to choke in a game, but this man choked the whole series
the way Bucks fans were talking about this Heat team before the series...man, they were terrified and completely shook Miami catfished people
I dunno. Miami was on a 7-game winning streak heading into game 1. And this team did beat Milwaukee in the bubble. There was all the reason to be scared. Pretty crazy how they're about to get swept though.
There's some evidence that Jrue is one of the few defenders to give Harden's problems...don't know about 'stop' but make it hard every time down the court? Should be an interesting series.
Funny how butler is use to being the vocal aggressor. He has looked completely lost and out of it this entire series. Credit to the bucks for correcting everything Miami threw at them. Miami needs retooling for sure. Some guys shouldn’t be back and dipo ain’t the next move
