Alright, Imma do it in a loss too. Kevin "Im a selfish ball hog" Durant" 39 points on 66 TS% 1 assist, accounting for 42 points. Plus mins of negative 1 Kyrie Irving 16 points on 17 shots for 44 TS% with 2 assists accounting for 22 points. (You all know im generous with their assists). Plus minus of 1. James "I have to do everything oh my god what is this" Harden. 41 points on 18 shots for TS% of 106 LMAO. This to add in 100 assists accounting for like 61 points if I made it all 2s LOL. Plus minus of 13. Jason Tatum 50 points on 30 shots(True shooting of 65* with 7 assists accounting for 71 points. A plus one LOL.
I’m not concerned about Boston but I am concerned about later rounds. The Nets needed to show they were dominant and they were not.
Hard to be dominant when the defense is not there. I don't even know if they are respectable. That's a huge problem they are fortunate that Boston is not all that great offensively.
I picked the Nets in 5 so I’m not to concerned. Harden was amazing and will now continue to get better as he gets in better shape . He looks in horrible shape but it’s understandable coming off 6 weeks of no cardio activity to let his hammy heal. The Nets are still the favorites to win the east but it won’t be a cake walk .
couldn't watch the game, but wow. losing with harden and durant scoring a super-efficient 80 points and only 9 team turnovers. even with tatum's 50, you still have kemba going 3-14. would have said they basically wouldn't ever lose with harden/durant scoring that much.
and the refs curse, and the (star teammate) injury curse, and the...perhaps its just the harden curse?
If Boston wins another game in this series, it will be a miracle. I was expecting maybe 1 game, especially with tatum being so hot, but im still surprised how bad the supporting cast of the big 3 played today. Boston is not a real test for the nets. I dont agree that the nets are the favorites in the east, ill give that tittle to Philly, since they have the easiest way ahead, while the nets have 2 guys that are coming back from injury and have to play the bucks next round. That will be a hard series and will see if the big 3 hold up without any injuries.
Guys, don't go there. We've been laughing at "Westbrook needs more help" for years. Harden is having a stacked team. No more excuses. (No, I'm not saying that it was Harden's fault they lost last night.) Harden is lucky to have a deadeye shooting role player in Joe Harris. He's been shooting 48% from 3 in this series, same percentage all season long.
i think the nets will have a really tough time with milwaukee. if milwaukee plays their usual D of giving up tons of 3's, that might help brooklyn but they have giannis and jrue to guard whoever they want, brook lopez at the basket, and middleton to stick on someone else. and the nets have seemingly proven they have no way to stop someone like giannis. so they are going to have to outscore milwaukee 4 times. could happen. probably should happen, but not a given. this is still more "first year heatles" than "kd warriors". tons of talent but all their talent kind of concentrated in the same areas and plenty of flaws to exploit outside of those areas and the east has legit contenders unlike back in the day (except 2011 bulls). i feel like they'd rather play philly than milwaukee.
