Boko Haram is trying to get people sick with ebola, and once they show symptoms to they board planes bound for Western countries and are told to sneeze and cough on everyone. This is the only the first. Hide yo....
Why the hell weren't we on lockdown to prevent people from Ebola infested countries coming here? Nice job, now every single person that shared the plane ride with you now gotta worry about that. And it's been one week already since you got diagnosed with it, who knows how many others came into contact with any of them. Unbelievable
Let me check but a buddy of mine that lives in Dallas just heard a report that a 2nd patient has been admitted via symptoms(other conflicting are saying it is indeed a confirmed case). Looks like I should wear the HAZMAT SUIT to the Texans game. That would be a nice little dig to Dallas.
Pretty sure it takes bodily fluids. If it has somehow mutated to an airborne disease they need to quarantine Dallas.
not confirmed, but i think he is referring to this: http://www.usatoday.com/story/news/nation/2014/10/01/texas-ebola-patient/16525649/
You do know that Africa is a continent not a country, right? I'm pretty sure Ebola has been contained in the majority of African countries except 2 or 3 that didn't take it seriously at the start AND still aren't taking it as seriously as others. If you meant a "closing on flights to and from the countries that still haven't contained the disease" then that'd be better. Or probably just greater precautions at airports inspecting those arriving from said countries that haven't taken the issue seriously. The country you mentioned that the guy left from is a country that should be #1 on the list of countries/citizens to check at every US airport and with every US airline. Probably every airport and airline in the world. Some countries took the issue seriously from the start and contained it while others lackadaisically didn't do much and still haven't done much while expecting the US to do the heavy lifting.
just curious about all those passengers who shared recycled Ebola air with dude on a transatlantic flight.
http://www.msn.com/en-us/news/us/experts-question-two-day-delay-in-admitting-texas-ebola-patient/ar-BB6OB8f Looks like he went in to the hospital and a Dr gave him antibiotics and released him prior. Then 2 days later he called for an ambulance. Dallas fkd up and with in those 2 days people are at high risk especially his family members.

Wow, if that is true, the doctor in question was ignoring all of the CDC instructions issued over the last two months. *Anyone* with a fever is basically supposed to be asked if they've been to one of the infected countries within the last month. Overall, if Nigeria can get control of Ebola, in Lagos, I'm fairly sure we can get control of it here, even in Dallas. There will probably be a few more cases though, from that guy's family at least, and maybe from the hospital.
^ this is playing out exactly how everyone thought it would play out. Sad that it is happening in Texas, and Dallas. Sad, and definitely a bit scary. Is it likely to morph into something impacting hundreds of thousands? No. But that's besides the point. It has impacted 1, it may be impacting more, maybe school age children, etc. It's ridiculous. While I don't think people are saying evacuate Katy, what they are saying is take logical measures to prevent people from DIEING! So, yes, that might and probably should mean don't accept people who have visited certain African countries in the last X days. It's a simple sorry, we can't let you in, by doing so you might KILL some folks, even if not purposefully. Again, I understand the "don't overreact" crowd... if one of those school age kids contracts ebola, well we should all be pissed about that. really pissed.
Not airborne. Unless there was 100% humidity in that airplane, everyone will probably be fine granted he didn't sneeze on anybody. Oh yeah, and if he wasn't showing symptoms at the time then everyone is fine. That being said can't believe how people can't follow simple directions. Doctors apparently don't give enough of a **** to put in the effort to ask a single question to those with fevers whether or not they have been to/from African countries infected with Ebola...
the doctor screwed up but the stupid patient is just as ignorant..why not mention it? And also if he felt sick im sure he knew it could be ebola since the idiot just came from Africa.....then to have contact with children?
I was thinking the same thing about the patient, what an uneducated idiot. If he was around kids he is probably a teacher of some sort? Regardless burn his body plz
I really really hope that none of those kids are infected. They are in a perfect environment to spread it to others. Both of the doc and patients are idiots.
