I don't think so. I think they just buy this stuff for advertising (hey, now I've heard of them thanks to some of there cheap, crazy buys) and to display so people will want to come by and check out the mystery envelope, Mary toast, etc. Kind of a free Ripley's show to some of the internet freaks. They might have opened it but IMO they would reseal it because opened takes away the "mystery".
