What I want to know is why in the Hell hasn't Tracy been "warming up" before games earlier in his career?(esp. with the back problems)It's all fine when he plays like he did last night, but I was under the impression a consummate pro does what he has to do and it is part of his routine. This should have been corrected a long time ago.It shouldn't take finally having quality depth (excellent work ethic and desire) and a legitimate chance at a title to wake him up.I have never doubted Tracy's ability, but this is a prime example of his mentality and lack of devotion where it should be.Make no mistake,I'm gung ho and happy to see a motivated TMac doing what it takes to do his job to the best of his abilities, but why so long?I know about back injuries and it's tough to have any kind of consistency to your game/J when your beset with them. And it's also frustrating as hell....Let's hope he's found his role/motivation/routine now so we can go win a title or two. For the record, watching this team come together is fabulous. Tracy is playing hard on defense, rebounding, using his court vision to set up teammates, and appears to have regained some of his form.(driving to the hoop helps)Barring injury,I see it coming down to us and the Lakers for the whole enchilada...It's my opinion that we'll be peaking at the end.So.....I'm expecting nothing less than a parade.
T-Mac's hyped up right now because of how well the team is playing, and he saw that we were doing it while he was frankly stinking it up. I think he sees this is his best chance ever to do something significant, and so he wants to refocus all his effort. I want to see what happens when we lose a couple games in a row. Does he have the "will" to keep this going the rest of season, through good times and bad? Our season may very well hinge on it.
