I could eat to bowls of Ramen, and likely nothing else. Thats when you look for adds at places serving free food.
It's a small campaign that I proposed as a viral idea. Client liked it and now I need to run the campaign. Already spent $5 on food today and it's not even lunch time yet.
cool challenge. I don't think $1 day would give enough variety or nutrition -- but $5/day might be interesting. Too much work for me though. And barely covers Mrs bnb's latte addiction.
Alright.. the campaign is starting in 30 minutes.. I am currently stuffing myself with steaks, fruits, and vegetables. Hopefully I will be so full that I don;t have to eat breakfast and lunch tomorrow. I went grocery shopping today and spent 11 something dollars.. and i have about $ 8 left now. My strategy is to go shopping again after the 1st 10 days. I couldn't believe how expensive fresh vegetables are! http://twentydays.wordpress.com
You should look into breatharianism. People living off of just sunlight. Make sure to drink lots of water and good luck.
Seriously how is this hard? Skip breakfast, buy store brand wheat bread $1.50 a loaf, good for ~20 servings, buy half a pound of sliced deli meat, roughly $3.00 and ~ 15-20 servings depending on how thin they slice it, go for the thinnest possible. A dozen eggs $1.25. 2 slice of bread, one slice of meat, and one boiled egg for lunch, repeat for dinner. You'd get your fiber and some protein. One bag of frozen strawberries or other fruits for skervie (sp?) $1.25. Chew two a day. Drink water. You can get through 3 weeks with $15 easy. Did it for 2 years in college, just make sure you find other things to occupy your time and make eating a chore to get through instead of something to enjoy. Focus on making other parts of your life as important as possible. If you want to mix it up, buy some hot dogs (8 for $2), and some rice ($8 bag will last you 2 months). Cook a single bowl rice, then stir fry it with a single egg, and half a sliced hot dog. I think I calculated out to be about $.80 a meal, once again, did this for college. I like these diets because it's not unhealthy - you actually get a reasonable supply of fiber, vitamin C, and protein naturally. You can reward yourself w/ orange juice on the weekends if you feel that vitamin C isn't enough. Also to anyone who said being overweight is a genetic condition, try this diet out . If you really want to save some money, you can even cut the portions lower. Like half a sandwich per day instead of 2 sandwiches, or eat only half a bowl of homemade fried rice a day. Alternate this with your normal portions, you wont die and it's likely healthier than your current diet right now.
I could do it, and probably do if you include going to the store like Walmart and buying food for the week / month etc. I had a turkey burger, and a burrito today. The burrito was in a package (frozen) that was like $3 for 10 of them. The turkey burger meat was in a BIG package for like $6, and I can make like 10 burgers from that. And cereal...
Vitamin C is essential to health...without adequate intake, your gums will bleed easily and you will develop sores on your arms and legs. It can also be fatal, but the vitamin is in enough foods that it is rare for one to be malnourished with Vit. C. Im sure you take in a lot more of this than you think. Milk has Vitamin C, many vegetables have it as well.
