Yeah, the guy is an idiot. He thinks he's clever, but if you make a million predictions, you're bound to get one right eventually. It's the law of averages. My impression is the rest of the panelists (Magic, Jalen, & Wilbon) don't really respect Simmons and I can't blame them.

 

Pretty sure the only credible one there is Jalen Rose...

Wilbon is unabashed Bulls homer, Magic is unabashed Lakers homer, and Simmons is unabashed Celtics homer, and all 3 of them allow their bias to creep into their actual "analysis".

The one thing I can say about Simmons is at least he writes some pretty fun reads on Grantland.

 

Such a p*****s are NYK, Anthony gos strong to the basket and seems like little kid when bangs to those walls in the paint. Laughing like a kid, but there are mostly offensive faulst not called than defensive ones. All others from NYK are just superior floppers...

I bet Pacers will win this series in 4-5 games. No way NYK with 2-3 players in their team win against the best defensive team in the league. I even think Miami wont win either and we will see Grizzlies/Spurs - Pacers final.

 

Magic is easily the worst analyst on that show. He's so bad.

the Knicks are going to beg their way into Hibbert and George getting a bunch of early fouls for the rest of the series.

Hibbert is sorta the Ryan Anderson of centers. Nice player, can be very effective if you allow him do his thing, which in Hibbert's case is dropping back and camping in the lane (on pick&rolls).

Hibbert, like, Anderson however by no means is without flaws and Hibbert can be a liability if you put him in pick&roll settings where he has to move around and cover ground.
We saw this happen just last year, when the Heat made Hibbert look like a fool on defense once they figured out how to attack him.

Hibbert also fouls a lot and doesn't have great conditioning, so he usually doesn't/isn't able to play as much as other players getting paid as much as he does. Also doesn't add a whole lot on offense and kinda limits what you can do on (early) offense and the pace you can be effective playing at with him on the floor.

So, ya, Hibbert isn't terrible, but let's not go crazy with the Hibbert love.

Vogel called a dumb timeout and put Pendengraph in to guard Melo which ruined the entire momentum of the run.

Now its 92-66 KNICKS, lol.

 

Why would he put _Pendergraph_ on Melo? Do they not have an All-NBA wing defender to use???

 

You're honestly saying that, if the Pacers were up 2-0, they couldn't win 2 more games throughout the rest of the series? lol.

And this game thread is totally dead! There's barely any talk during the game, much less after it lol.

 

NYK offense looking like crap out there.

I know Indy plays really good defense, but the Knicks only have 22 with 4:50 left to go in the half lol.
