Apparently people picking the Celtics = Heat hate. Any compliment given to anyone but the Heat = hating on the Heat. lulz
I hope Duncan and Ginobili are dead tired. I will stick my prediction of OKC in 7. I just see Harden and Westbrook going off. I could be wrong, but I could be right.
Last game Parker dropped 42 on Westbrook, expect a big series between those two guys. Timmy will school Ibaka in the paint.
Boston will play much better v. the Heat b/c every team plays harder when they play the Heat. But with Bradley out, who will guard Wade? A gimpy Pierce will get demolished by Lebron. However, KG can dominate his matchup, so I anticipate Lebron on KG a ton. KG doesn't bang as much down low as David West so Lebron won't waste a ton of energy guarding KG. Battier can guard Pierce. And Rondo will obliterate the Heat's PG. Rondo is the only matchup that the Heat can't answer. He needs to ball out for the Celts to have a chance. But Lebron/Wade will be too much. Miami in 5 or 6. They will drop a couple of games b/c they'll be bored and unmotivated, which they have been all playoffs until going down 2-1 to the Pacers.
How'd that work out for the Celtics last year? I don't think the Celtics have much of a chance unless they get the best series of Rondo's life out of him.
Rondo was injured, Shaq was out. Bench played like complete trash. You can't count that series in when talking about their chances this year.
+1. And Ray Allen to shoot lights out, Pierce to get 20+, and KG to continue to get 20/10. Basically, they have to play like they did in the reg. season where they shot 50%+ at high efficiency + great defense = Boston in 08. Can they do that 4 times? We'll see. And Ray and Pierce are injured now. They're older, and not as consistent. The 08 Celtics would beat this Heat team. They're just 3-4 years removed. Skip Bayless @RealSkipBayless If Bosh can't play, it will take the Heat all 7 games to overcome the Miami-hating Celts' guts and experience. Pierce owns LeBron mentally. And Man Bayless just can't stop trolling.
It is going to be very hard for a short handed, old and gassed Celtics team. I expect a grind it out defensive struggle.
Seems good in theory, but will Spo be savvy enough to do it? I still don't understand why he didn't give Bron any mins on Dirk last year.
If Chalmers, Battier, Miller have a good series from behind the arc and support their stars - then the Heat can do it. Allen's health is key for Celtics. Hope Bradley makes it back too.
