I never said Detroit would win in 4 or 5. I also have criticized the Pistons who aren't good enough to take advantage of the Celts. Tonight, I expected them to win this game and close the series at home in 6. Even though KG, Ray Allen and Perkins were great, the Celts bench was 1/5 with 3 total points. The Lakers will wear them out with depth, running and energy. I know Detroit plays good D, but the Celts offense isn't that hard to stop when the other team decides to play defense. The Celts propensity to choke is very disturbing. Rondo's passing in the 4th quarter today was not a good sign.

My opinion in the Finals has nothing to do with "West vs East" bias, which I agree some others take way too far. It's based on observing the playoffs so far. At the start of the postseason, I picked the Celts because they were obviously the best regular season team, including 25-11 against the West. But after watching their last 19 games, they are the weakest of the remaining 4 playoff teams IMO.

Its possible they close out Detroit next game because I wouldn't put it past this schizo Pistons team to self-destruct enough to allow it. Regardless, the Celts are a shadow of their peak regular season form while the Lakers are hitting their stride at the right time.

The Lakers need Sam like a hole in the head. Fisher, Sasha and Farmar are all better. Sam wouldn't fit on an athletic team that likes to push the ball.

Rondo's passing makes Rafer look like Magic Johnson. Just throw the ball straight up in the air and see who catches it. Lakers should eat that up all series.

uhh, since when can we review shotclock violations? if the shot went in before the quarter ended, and you can only review shots that go in after the quarter, how can you review the shotclock violation?

Don't you get it? Tinman's not a Rockets fan. He's only a fan of 'Houston Rockets who won championships.' He'll jump on the bandwagon again when Houston gets another one.

that was the one of the worst calls of all time.

Pierce hits a 3 and gets fouled and they call an offensive foul??

Pierce shuffled both feet to move over and draw contact from Rip. That's a travel, not an offensive foul. But PP turned over the ball anyway.

Consider it regression towards the mean.

Not really, PP traveled before the shot.

If he traveled, why did the ref called offensive foul? The job of the ref is to call the right call.

Are you sure their job isn't to shave points?

Wrong call but same result - no basket, Pistons ball. Other than that, u need to ask the ref, not me. JVG saw it the same way.
