Pistons have to be disappointed being up only 5. A 10 point lead would have made a statement.

ray allen is such a one-dimensional player. on offense, he can only score if he's wide open off screens (or get his shot off). if he sucks on O, he doesn't do anything else.

does anyone complain about obvious fouls more than perkins? the celtics have shot about 9 million free throws in this game and detroit has had guys in foul trouble all over the place and they seem to think they're getting wronged.

Man, the Boston offense sucks. KG can't take over. Ray Allen doesn't know what to do with the ball. The only guy who can do anything is PP.

Hard game for me to watch. The Pistons were more than willing to lose this game but the Celts weren't man enough to step up and take it. The Pistons didn't show me enough after the great start because they couldn't put away the Celtics despite their incredibly bad shooting. The Celtics had a chance to make a statement tonight and they came woefully short with their effort.

Right now, it's hard for me to see the winner of this series beating the Lakers or Spurs. The Celts and Pistons are shadows of what they showed in the regular season. Ray Allen is a pitiful disgrace.

Well, it's really hard to put any team away, if the Celtics were sent to the freethrow line 39 times, even Doc Rivers admitted that they were too passive. I guess they just passively generated contacts.

If u r Pistons fans, u r not happy. This team is hard to root for.

"It ain't right if it ain't rough."

The Pistons only have intensity when they are down.

Flip just doesnt command enough respect from the veterans.

But I dont really care which team will win the ECF.

So why are you posting in this thread then?

I'm proud of the Pistons tonight. 5 against 8 and they still won.

    Awesome.

We get to hear about Rip Hamilton's gay mask again. It wouldn't be the NBA playoffs if we don't get to see the same footage and the same interview about this crackhead's mask.

You can do better than this, ESPN.

Anyone else think the Celts might run out of gas in the 4th quarter? They have gotten NOTHING from their bench so far and the starters' minutes are adding up. I don't think Perkins will be able to keep going.

My prediction: The Celts will have a brickfest in the 4th quarter because of tired arms (unless a bench player steps up) and the Pistons will either come back and win or make it a very close game.

Props to Kendrick Perkins for an outstanding game, scoring, rebounding, playing D. This games MVP for sure.

Remember game 6 in 1997? Replace Ostertag with Perkins. If you can choose the one "out of your mind" game of your career, make it a pivotal playoff game.
