just not the pistons night. the 3rd ridiculous shot by perkins (accidental tip-in) and another long rebound off a celtics miss goes back to boston and detroit is 0-8 on 3's. now they're going to have to win another one in boston.

you don't need body language when kendrick perkins is having the game of his life and every bounce is going your way and the other team can't shoot. despite being lackadaisical, the celtics lead has only grown, and the pistons aren't the lakers on offense to be able to come back.

Did you see game 3 in Philly where the Pistons just didn't give themselves a chance to win? People talked about that game like the Sixers were awesome but it was all about the Pistons not coming to play. They continued stinking it up until 5 mins left in the 1st half of game 4, down by 10. They flipped the switch and never turned back.

It isn't too late to flip the switch and at least start better vibes about game 4. Even if they start caring, the Pistons can't win today unless the Celts completely stop playing defense.

    Traveling by McDyess. Just wow!

Mark Jackson is annoying, it's funny listening to JVG rag on him.

After JVG was saying about how good Mark Jackson:

Mark: "Can we get back to Game 3, please?"

JVG: "Well, if Detroit would get back to Game 3, we could, too!"

    Classic.

how do you double ray allen driving w/ no advantage and leave pierce, who hasn't missed, wide open for a 3 when you're trying to come back?

edit: even with the pistons playing harder than the celtics now, the ball continues to bounce off the rim perfectly for the celtics. whether it hits one extra time when a piston has position or bounces long right to garnett while 3 pistons chase after it, it's not going their way.

Stuckey sure is a good looking rookie. Of the very few things I like about the Pistons, Joe Dumars is #1 by far. He is one great GM that knows how to find players and manage a winning franchise.

Good to see Sam back in the game.
should have played him more 5 points in 8 minutes.

I could be mistaken with another poster, but does this fellow have a knack for making himself look ridiculous or what?

Detroit offensively played out of their minds in game 2, kinda evens out.

I will say every body keeps over reacting. Game 1, game 2. game 3. Theses are the two best teams, and veteran lead, home and road is that big of deal than if a young squad is involved. Det just needs to find a way to make it to game 7. Only will happen if Chauncy has a couple games left like game 2 because Boston is too good for Det to beat them without their best playmaker on the top of his game.

Joe Dumars is good, but he made a pretty costly mistake in drafting Darko over the others in that very deep draft. I believe a certain Carmelo Anthony was available as well.

Detroit already had a pretty sick team before the draft... imagine if they hadn't screwed the pooch during draft day.

How much of a mistake was it? They won the championship that year. If Melo had been drafted instead of Darko, Tayshaun would have been put on the back-burner and the whole chemistry of the team would have changed that year. Who knows if LB and Melo would have gotten along. Plus, the Rasheed Wallace trade may not have happened. Lastly, they've been to the E.C. finals 6 straight years.

If Dumars had that draft to do over, I don't think he would change a thing because of the championship.

Draft Chris Bosh instead if they needed a young big. They could've still traded for sheed. Mike James, contracts and the pick they got from Utah in that Okur deal(I think) is what they gave Atlanta for him.

The Pistons with all thier recent success.. aren't perfect. They've been pretty flawed over the years. In '04(title year) they were probably the deepest team in team in the league. The next season they almost go back to back with a 2 man bench (McDysse & Hunter). They have the same problem in '06 except now the East has 2 "great" players (Wade & James) who they cant guard. Cleveland takes them to 7 games (were actually up 3-2) and Miami dusts them in 6. Hell, most people thought they were gonna lose to Miami in the '05 ECF before Wade got hurt. This shows that in the end "great" not really good players win championships.

They're a jumpshooting team that doesnt have a "unguardable" player, who won a title cause of their all-time great D (that '04 team was beastly defensively). They had a chance to draft one but ended up taking the least polished and least 'ready to play' player who ended up being nothing more than a backup.

The Piston's PA announcer in the background of the telecasts makes it really hard for me to watch games played in Detroit.

After winning game 2 in Boston and then coming home, it's amazing how self-satisfied the Pistons played most of game 3. The Celts are repeating that mistake tonight. They are not sharp and don't seem motivated so far.
