and he picked the one where the home team won both games.. (generally not so unlikely)

though granted, the cavs were 2 point favorites tonight

Lebron is scoring 40 and losing so Game 5 Lebron needs to score at least 55!!

Can we bring back the "make teammates better" argument? Or should we rescind LBJ's MVP because he couldn't make his teammates better?

I don't get how LBJ was praised for everything and his teammates always got the blame. When LBJ controlled the ball 95% of the time, his teammates get no touches and it ain't surprising they'd be cold.

I'm not going to let this get into a T-mac thread but the keyword I said phrase I said was "Grant Hill's contract was a bigger problem in Orlando than T-mac"

All that other stuff you mentioned who knows, but I think they would be pretty damn good, well probably not this year considering T-mac is hurt.

First of all, Kobe shoots way more jumpers than James or Wade. It's much harder to get a foul call on a jumpshot. Second, Kobe is averaging 8.4 free throws a game in the postseason. For a guy who takes mostly perimeter shots that is a very high number.

LeBron is bigger, stronger and drives the ball to the rim more, therefore it's natural that he goes to the line more. Wade isn't bigger or stronger but he too attacks the rim with reckless abandon more often than Bryant. Again no shock he takes more free throws than Kobe.

grant hill's contract also came off, which was 100mil+. a lot of GM can do a lot of good if that contract goes off the books.

PS - mo will is the worst all-star of all time.

I don't have a problem with Kobe shooting less FT than LBJ or Wade. But is the missing blatant fouls on Kobe and bogus fouls on LBJ/Wade so coincident? Even a dumb knows Stern has an agenda and Kobe's not part of it.

Never heard of PJ complaining MJ couldn't get a foul. He complained that multiple times for Kobe already, another coincidence? I think not.

I know wiesbord is no longer the GM, but he got dhoward, hedo, and nelson. He built the core of this team.

He can't take the shots for his teammates or play all 5 defensive positions at once. Mo Williams has taken 71 shots in 4 games and made 23. That's 32% from the floor from the Cavs 2nd best scoring threat. Big Z has taken 43 shots and made 18 which is 42% from the floor. Both numbers are poor.

Then you add in the major defensive problems the magic present for the cavs with lewis at the 4 and howard's strength and quickness at the 5. It's not shocking cleveland is in a major dogfight.

I can't recall with certainty but I would bet a nut PJ did plenty of complaining when he was coaching MJ. I can almost see the expression on PJ's face during Bulls games back in the day. He probably expressed his concerns off the court as well. Maybe somebody else around here can confirm these things.

Agreed. Between the match ups on defense and the no-shows on offense, the outcome says it all.

Someone complaining about Kobe being reffed poorly...because the refs DON'T give him the call?

I've read plenty of that on a Lakers board. But anywhere else? Now I've seen everything.

This is maybe more of Brown's more than LBJ's fault, but did he ever try to play off ball? You controlled the ball all the time, you get all the assists but you don't really "get your teammates better". Try making a screen for your teammates, try cutting to the paint, try running through multiple screen and spot up. These are kind of decoys you can make teammates better, without touching the ball, and help build their confidence. LBJ is a ballhog, period.

professorjay what do you think of Mike Brown's coaching job? Seems like he hasn't made any adjustments except maybe put Howard more on the free throw line. They are still playing the pick and roll the same and it seems they could be doing more in getting the Magic away from the three point line more.
