Very good point. I like Ariza and Pietrus. They are both very solid and under-appreciated two-way players, in my opinion. They both have all the tools to be excellent role players for years to come.
This is funny that is kind of like a Lebron vs Kobe thread. IMO I think Lebron is a better player than Kobe. IMO if you put Kobe on the Cavs in place of Lebron than I believe Cavs might be the 3rd best team in the east. If you put Lebron on the Lakers the Lakers would be the best team in basketball. I think Lebron makes his teammates better, but Kobe makes his team better. If it was 1 on 1 I would take Kobe easily because the guy is clutch moreso than Lebron. I disagree with people who say that Kobe is the best fundamental player in the league when I would easily give that to Lebron. Lebron is more athletic and has more overall talent than Kobe, Kobe might be a better one on one defender and he is definitely the better of the 2 of scoring. Like many I don't think that this current team would make the playoffs even in the garbage east, but the Cavs would also have 20+ million to spend on other players that would compete with this team.
So if the magic win, its because Lebrons teammates were not good enough. If lebron wins, its because hes God... can yall get my point a little bit please? I'm really not trying to start anything. I just don't see how its fair. either way Lebron wins the argument it seems.
Fair enough. You think the Cavs would be a .500 team without LeBron. I don't think they'd be anywhere close for the reasons stated previously. If you put LeBron with our supporting cast, we would be infinitely better than the current Cavs, as crazy as that sounds. You say some of the Cavs role players would step up in the absence of LeBron. I agree, in terms of volume. The problem is their efficiency would go way, way, way down. They don't have guys like Scola, Landry and Artest who are roughly the same players with or without McGrady. It isn't an accident that Mo Will had a career year and got an All-Star appearance playing alongside LeBron. Scola, Landry and Artest... even Wafer would be more or less just as efficient with or without McGrady because of their styles of play and their abilities to create their own shots.
if they win then i would say. deleonte west and mo williams stepped up because thats the only way they are going to win and they are going to be the reason they lose if they lose this series
As for Jackie's question about the Spurs position the Spurs could be big players in 2010 free agency the only two guaranteed players under contract are Duncan and Parker, they would have to decide whether or not to keep Manu Ginobli who becomes a free agent that time as well. I believe they would hold onto George Hill though who has a team option. A good link to the salarie situations is www.hoopshype.com
Compare this lineup to that of the Cavs: Brooks or Lowry LeBron Artest or Battier Scola Yao Brooks or Lowry Wafer Artest or Battier Landry/Hayes/Dorsey a decent backup center I think that shows how much better the Rockets supporting cast is with the big differences being Yao, Artest, Scola, Battier, Landry and Wafer.
lol you know what my bro just said? How bad did Brian Cook get screwed for this season ? lol magic prlly win the east... and he was the outcast in the trade. hahaha oh well. hes a good guy
That is also why you got to love Morey and our coaching staff in developing quality young players. Only real problem with the Rockets right now financially is T-mac's 23 million we owe him next season we have solid young talent with very respectable contracts. Luckily for us T-macs contract expires at the end of next season.
