guys jordan had scottie pippen next to him, he's arguably a top 50 all time NBA player. lebron has mo williams who while is a great PG who was named an allstar, is no where near a top 50 nba player. and they still won 66 regular season games. if lebron gets another another allstar, perhaps either at the PF or SG position, he would likely be considered top 3 of all time right away, and perhaps the GOAT after sometime.
Orlando is going to need for Rashard Lewis to show up in the 1st half and the 2nd half to win this series. Orlando can't keep depending on coming back to win this series. At this point it is pretty obvious that Orlando is the most inconsistent team out of all the teams left.
It's hard to feel good after a loss like that. If the Magic raise their game up at home, they will indeed be in good shape. But the Magic don't always play better at home. Their best 2 games against the Celtics were in Boston.
Not really I mean how long do you expect mo williams and delonte west to miss shots that they have made all season. Game 1 you had lebron trying to pull one of his takeover im taking us home perfomances and almost pulled it off, his team missed open look after open look, as soon as the cavs pull it together, I think they will be fine. However Lewis and turk are causing all kinds of match up problems, they break down the cavs defense effortlessly. Thats what im afraid of. The magic arent a great home team though.
how long do you expect lewis and turk to shoot that badly thought the playoffs? lewi and turk mised alot of good looks also mo williams has shot pretty bad this entire playoffs...even against the hawks
Exactly I mean it's good they won 1 game, but I don't think Orlando should be feeling good about themselves at this point. A)You were down double digits at halftime in both games, you can't win a series if that continues to happen. B)You were 1 second away from taking the series back to Orlando up 2-0, until LeBron hit the game winning shot. At this point Orlando is probably feeling pretty bad because of part B.
If he didn't make the shot, LBJ would be ridiculed, If he made the shot, LBJ is crowned King. Well its chance.
im frickin pissed.....im a magic fan after the rockets and DAMNNNN this one stingss!!!! this one hurts more than the big baby beater buzzer since we were down 23 and came back to lose on a last second shott!!! and im really starting to believe the nba is rigged after the Gortat blocking foul calls...they basically gave free points to cleveland...and the refs missing MO WILLIAMS throwing the ball at dwight...OMG that could of been the one point that would of sent this game into overtime...UGHHHH horrible job by the refs...the magic should be up 2-0 and thinking sweep...now they are thinking about having to come back to cleveland...ahhhh i feel for the magic players
I think Cleveland has more to worry about than Orlando at this point. They came in there and were one ridiculous shot away from being up 2-0. If you are a championship caliber team, you should not have to win a game like that when you were up by 23.
that's the dumbest thing I ever heard, with the way orlando plays basketball, they are very prone to being down big points, or being up big points(or thereby regaining points) with all the 3s they take. all championship teams face adversity at some points, think of the 3peat the lakers had and all the adversity they had in the playoffs but still came off to win. geez it's like people have absolutely no long term memory.
Well Cleveland could easily be up 2-0 also. In fact you could make the case that Cleveland should be up 2-0 more than Orlando should be up 2-0.
I agree, orlando lives and dies by the three, thats why every time the cavs are up you cant get comfortable because at any given time the lead can be gone
Well I finally put the gun down and my nerves are settled now. Thank goodness Lebron hit that three. The Drive and The Shot were replaying in my mind w/ one second left. I was about to call this one The Fail. I hope Lebron will finally get some more props and shake his 'non-clutch' reputation. I know he doesn't have the resume of Kobe, but I thought his 28 points straight against Detroit would've at least earned him some credit. He's had a few buzzer beaters this year too. Hedo hit a great shot and then played great defense. Lebron just managed to hit an incredibly tough shot, Hedo can't be upset w/ that. Anyways, what can I say. I'm extremely disappointed so far. The defensive effort still has lapses after game 1, and Mo Williams has not stepped up. It's the playoffs, and we've seen different guys on every team have their moments. Someone better have an impact besides Lebron otherwise this series is doomed. Credit to Orlando who seems to have finally found their playoff swagger and is shooting lights out. I know it's not realistic, and I'm not denying it. But ever the optimist, I might as well stick w/ my initial prediction (Cavs, 4-1 ). I can only hope that this was a kick in the butt (evidently game 1 was enough) that get Cleveland to find a new gear to shift into. And maybe Orlando will lose steam after a brutal last second loss. Time to find some overpriced tickets in Orlando...
yeah I was telling that to all my friends today, if you're up against the magic by 20 points, you can't cruise you have to keep attacking. even if they're up by 40 if I were the coach of the team I would tell them to kill them off and not let them crawl back, screw that sportsmanship garbage.
