    Not so.

I'd trade Artest and Scola for Iguodala. To me, that's an easy decision.

wow, he's the freakin' franchise player. He takes all the last shots, he's bound to make a few. You'd take a 10/10 player in scola and a DPOY for defenseless AI who only won 41. scola and ron are starters on a 53 win team in the WEST. The guys hot spot is colder than alstons. You just got kikimama'd

i definitely wouldn't call andre iguodala defensless, he's an above average defensive player.

One time is lucky. To do it 2 or 3 times tells me he has major cajones and ice water in veins. I'm not ready to put him in the clutch closer status like Kobe, but I wouldn't mind putting the ball in his hands for the winning shot and live with the result.

I don't know about giving up both Scola and Artest though, you're giving up too much rebounds and inside presence.

I'm not feeling Iggy either. He's too inconsistent for me. Often when I saw him during the season, it seemed like he didn't care. If his motor always ran on high, I would feel differently.

I'd consider Iggy for Scola and Artest, but that's only because of my low opinion of nutty Ron Ron.

I was just messin' with you.

As far as Iggy's defense, Hollinger strongly disagrees with you: http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/columns/story?columnist=hollinger_john&page=PERDiem-090415

    You just got Hollinger'd! :D

There is a reason why Iguodala is able to hit those shots, one is a good player even though he is not a great shooter but its because of his supreme athletic ability that allows him to outjump anyone on his attempts, just go back to the LA shot.

Ron artest is a better outside shooter, but doesn't have the ability to separate from the Defender.

overall Iguodala is a solid player, he's does everything fairly well, passes, steals, defends, rebounds, finishes and scores, and he is still 25 yrs old.

Any deal that involves Scola and does not get us back a top 10 power forward = FAIL

I dont know how many times people need to see games where the other team cheats off our 4 because he is not a offensive threat.

I kinda wish we would trade Scola so all you people could see him put up 20/10 every night on another team, and then cry because our production from the 4 is way down.

Iguodala has all the characteristics I'm looking for. He's young, athletic, great in transition, good defender, good in isolation, very efficient, a very good passer.

He's also good in the clutch. This season, Philly outscored the opponent 27 times in the closing minutes of close games with Iguodala on the floor, and they got outscored 20 times. Last season, it was 25-17. That's a good differential for a team that isn't so great. For comparison, no one on the Rockets has had that good an On-court "clutch time" differential this season, or last. Iguodala is also top 10 in adjusted +/-.

To me, he's good value at 13-15 million. Anyways, Philly would never trade him away for an Artest/Scola package. It wouldn't make any sense for them.

I went to eat when the Magic had 18 pt lead and when I came back, they lost the game. WTF!

    Did SVG have a clue?

But the Magic looked flat from the start. Well, that's not the end of world, the Magic will still win this series.

suggest all the trade talk is saved for GARM, maybe.

You can just smell a mental weakness in the Magic. It's in their DNA, from Nick Anderson and Penny Hardaway onward. Seem like a bunch of nice guys who won't put a dagger in a team.

Though you can't fault the defense on that last shot -- it was like glue on a turkey! ;)

Predict Sixers win the series in 5 or 6. The Magic will be too depressed.

Imo, Iguodala is really only effective when the lane is opened up and he can slash at will. He's a good defender but most other aspects of his game seem to be overstated. Sure he's efficient but barely mustering up 19 point on that pitiful offensive team is telling of his offensive ability. He doesn't seem to be much of a playmaker either for a franchise player and i think that's part of the reason his team is so terrible in the half court, they depend heavily on Andre Miller's passing ability.

I just don't see Iguodala being anywhere near as efficient a player on a team with a good post player where the lane is clogged up and he has to depend on his jumpshot and playmaking to help his team win. I think the Elton Brand experiment failed because most of the Sixers team is like Iggy. They're athletic freaks who defend well and can beat anyone to the rim but when it comes to setting up a disciplined half court offense and consistently making jumpshots they fail.

Why the DNA of Moses Malone & Dream haven't passed down to the Rockets? Strange! :p

Did anyone hear Stan Van Gundy's post-game tirade, basically blaming everything on his players? I only heard that part of it, not the whole thing. Pretty pathetic if that was the main theme of his press conference.

In the "DNA" argument, T-Mac had some tainted Magic chromosomes, and now the Rockets are more pure.
