Are you complaining about the tech for hanging on the rim?

Lol I have never seen anyone get a tech for hanging on the rim after a missed dunk and he didn't even hang.

How many years haven't the hawks passed the 1st round?

It seems this playoffs are for those teams who haven't passed the 1st round for many years!

lol, what i don't understand is how haslem's foul was a flagrant 2 and rondo gets away with murder in the chicago series

    well played refs, well played

we had more upsets in a 5 game series. i dont' believe we truly had an upset in a 7 game series yet.

    warriors-mavs, warriors WANTED the mavs
detroit beat the lakers b/c the lakers simply hated one another

The only reason Haslem got a flagrant 2 because he did the foul when they were getting blown out so the refs did not want the game to get out of hand. If he committed this foul early in the game or if the game was close at the end he would not have gotten a flagrant 2.

Here is my take on that Warriors/Mavs series.

Yes seeding wise it was an 1/8 matchup.

But talent wise after that trade I did not see it that way. They were mainly an 8th seed because they got off to such a bad start before they traded for Stephen Jackson and Al Harrington. But if they had that same team for the whole season I don't know if they would have been an 8th seed.

I need to see the standings from that year to see how far they were from the 6th and 7th seed.

jvg mentioned that as well, but i'm really not certain anymore

it was definitely way more of a play on the ball and a relatively typical playoff foul than what rondo was pulling imo

I thought it should have just been a regular foul. No flagrant 1 and no flagrant 2.

Man, only 4 of the 8 teams I picked to advance to the second round did, and they were the heavy favorites (LA, CLE, BOS, and ORL).

Same here exactly except I picked the Heat in 6. The good thing is I'll be right back on track assuming the Cavs beat the Hawks.

In fact, based on today's game, I feel confident that I'm going 4/4 in the 2nd round.

Sure. Two evenly matched teams, I'll go with the one with home court and the fourth quarter stud.

Happy for The Hawks. Even though they'll probably get swept by Cleveland, its an improvement getting to the 2nd round.

This thread continues to confuse me about Joe Johnson. One minute, he is getting Tracy McGrady hate from people. The next, its "Please come to The Rockets in 2010!"

Rockets and Hawks in 2nd round = A pretty good year for my two teams.
