[Eastern Conf. 1st Round] Miami Heat vs. Atlanta Hawks

The Hawks were willing to give up the lead all 3rd quarter but the Heat just weren't good enough to take advantage. I lost count of how many times they blew a chance to get it under 10.

Just how dumb does Josh Childress feel right now?

Wade is overrated. He's very, very good. I'm okay with saying he's great. He's inarguably a top 10 player in the league. But he's overrated.

Rose is something else, and I'm extremely excited to see how he develops.

Solid effort from the Hawks. They're just better and the Heat don't have anybody outside of Wade. What else do you need to know?

P.S. Any reason why Spoelstra never put Jermaine O'Neal back in? He brought him in for like 20 seconds, he picked up two fouls, airballed a shot then got pulled.

 

I don't see how he is overrated, he's the number 1 defensive target, he shoots close to 50% has improved his range, blocks, steals, passes he does everything.

I'm just tired of the same old "if you have D-wade in game 7 anything can happen, I don't remember kobe winning a series with smush parker as PG.

 

I'm not sure Childress feels dumb. His salary is in dollars so the Euro's decline has actually helped him. For him, money was more important than anything.

 

OK you say Wade is overrated. So then my question is what ratings of Wade across the media have been inaccurately portrayed?

how is wade overrated? he's a one man show and led a team to the playoffs and to a 7th game v. a better team. that's a sign of a great player.

u put joe johnson in his position and the heat probably get swept.

great players can only do so much.

 

QFT, replace wade with kobe on that heat team and you would have the same result. i think lebron would perform slightly better than wade on that heat team, but that's just because he's a freak.

Why can't people get that overrated and great are not mutually exclusive?

He's a terrific individual player, but he's constantly put on the same level as LeBron, Kobe, and sometimes Jordan. And that's simply overrating who he is.
