A balanced offense is greater than multiple stars.

God, if you're reading this board, please bless rafer for the playoffs. Give him focus and determination. :) If we have the good rafer, for a one month stretch, anything is possible!

Just too damn small. Two undersized rookies in the frontcourt? Come on. Unless T-Mac puts up 35-8-8 in the greatest NBA Playoffs showoff ever, along with Rafer shooting 45%, disappointment city. That sad, can we beat Utah. Yes! Sorry, I think Boozer is overrated an Memo is a, uhm, kitten (you know the word). LA, SA, or PHX? Over SEVEN games? With Yao we're favorites. Now, just no.

Don't be so negative that quickly. T-mac can't do 35-8-8, but hell he is pretty close to it. He is probably the best playoff performer in NBA right now. If the other players step up, we're good.

Lets get the first seed and play Denver then Utah with HC advantage all the way. It is very possible we just need to win all the coming games.

I'd be okay with that too. Has anyone figured out what it would take with 4 games remaining for us to get #1?

I have this lingering memory of the Jazz just brutalizing the Rockets in the playoffs last year, especially in Utah. Physically, they roughed up the good guys. Scola and Landry could give them a taste of their own medicine this year on the inside, but Williams will simply run over Rafer. Even home court was not enough last year with Yao. I would rather the team face the Hornets or the Lakers in the first round.

    Playoff Tiebreaker explanation
    SportsLine.com staff

The following is an explanation of NBA tiebreaking scenarios.

    Determining Ties for Playoff Position
In order to break a tie for playoff positions, if one exists at the end of the regular season, the following criteria will be utilized in the order set forth:

    TWO-WAY TIES

    1. Results of games against each other.

    2. Better winning percentage within own division (only if tied teams are in same division).

    3. Better winning percentage against teams in own conference.

    4. Better winning percentage against playoff opponents in own conference (including teams that finished the regular season tied for a playoff position).

    5. Better winning percentage against playoff opponents in opposite conference (including teams that finished the regular season tied for a playoff position).

    6. Better point differential between offense and defense.

    MORE THAN TWO TEAMS TIED

    1. If applicable, division champions must be determined first.

    2. Better winning percentage in all games among the tied teams.

    3. Better winning percentage against teams in own division (only if all tied teams are in same division).

    4. Better winning percentage against teams in own conference.

    5. Better winning percentage against teams eligible for playoffs in own conference (including team that finished the regular season tied for a playoff position).

    6. Best point differential between offense and defense.

Note: If a multiple team tie is reduced to a two-team tie at any point using the above criteria, the two-team tie will be resolved in accordance with the existing two-team tie procedure.
