My dad wore earrings. My male friedns wears earrings. My brothers wear earrings. Nearly every man I know wears earrings. They call is BLING BLING...lol Jewelry isnt pretty feminine in my book.
looks decent against very dark skin, but i probably wouldn't date anyone with an earring. it would definitely distract me. i mean shiiiiiit, i haven't worn anything in my ears since i was 12.
I think I would have rather seen you post in italics forever than read the last 2 posts that I have quoted.
I'm 22 and I wear one in each ear. I'm black and this is pretty normal in my neighborhood. The opinion on it probably depends on the age and culture.
If you don't mind me asking, and I"m honestly just curious here: but is it a culturally-accepted thing for black males to wear earrings? Is it a street cred thing?
Please dear God no!!! If there's one thing worse than seeing posts by you that are always in italics, it is seeing posts by you that are always in italics and knowing that you are doing these posts with earrings in each ear. It will make me want to gouge my eyes out!
It's not a street cred thing it's just accepted. I have seen plenty of guys with no street cred wearing earrings that were black. Street cred in the black community is sort of overrated though. Just be yourself and you will be respected.
Yup part of fashion for black people. Just like wearing hats. Black people usually buy hats for fashion. Other races buy hats because that is the team they love and wouldn't considering buying the hat of a team they don't care about.
Damn, man! All this time I thought Dr. Dre was one of the biggest White Sox fans around and now you tell me this!
Manny has inspired me to see if the holes in my lobes are still open enough to rock some diamond studs. I'm doing this because I am a man and chicks love it. Great day it is.
growing up in queens new york, attended thomas edison high school in jamaica queens... we had to walk through metal detectors on mondays, wednesdays, and fridays... in my sophomore year, while in line through the metal detector, the dean made a remark about the black male in front of me "you put more **** on your head than girls" referring to his cornrolls and beads under his durag under his cap, and earrings immediately... fight ensues moral of the story, do not make fun of sexually insecure males about their jewelry
