I wish this were the case. Top 25 is certainly attainable but it's going to take us another year since our defense is so young. Our recruiting class was very solid though
I'm not saying they definitely WILL win, but this is the best chance they've had in many, many years. Garcia is an experienced QB, and while he isn't the best in the conference, I do believe he will improve on his solid numbers from last year. I don't know who your pick is for the East, but by logical deduction, Florida must be your pick (since the East has no one else, save for a desperate Bulldog team in what might be Richt's last year). Florida had a tremendous recruiting class, but that's 1-2 years away from really being considered dominant. There are just too many questions with Florida right now (#1 being an unproven offensive adjustment to, "You know, a real quarterback."). No team in the East is going to win the SEC, but I wouldn't sleep on South Carolina to be the sacrificial lamb to Alabama in Atlanta in December. ===== And just a question for the Alabama fans here (except Bear_Bryant): Are you guys really Bama fans, or is this sudden bandwagonism after beating Texas?
