they lose 9 starters on defense.

WTF? OK, apparently I was getting some bogus info. I didn't realize they lost 9. Even with the triplets on offense back, no way they overcome that. Nevermind.

Give me uhh... err... uhhh... ummm.....

Bah screw it, they all look bad.

    Prediction:

Boise State loses in the title game to a 1 loss BCS team.

    Prediction Pt 2:

    Jacquizz Rogers wins the Heisman

Florida? LOL. They aren't better than Alabama (I don't even think they win the East; it's South Carolina's time for once, but how many times has that been said?).

Alabama will have an offense that might even be better than last year's. Their defense lost a lot, but still incredibly strong (remember #57, Longhorns fans?).

And they still have the best coach in the nation. Plus, I expect to see a major home field advantage with their stadium renovation creating a full enclosure and the largest in the SEC at 102,000.

Games to watch: Sept 11 vs. Penn State; Oct 2 vs. Florida

    ======

Ohio State is a solid choice. They've got the talent, but a very interesting early season challenge: Sept 11 vs. Miami. If they get past the Canes, there shouldn't be another game they should lose.

And, conversely, same goes for Miami. They've had a disappointing end to seasons in recent years, but they're finally "rebuilt" after depleted rosters in the late Coker years. Another fascinating, high-risk, high-reward early season schedule in 2010 (Sept 11 @ Ohio State; Sept 23 @ Pitt; Oct. 2 @ Clemson; Oct. 9 vs. FSU).

The roster is loaded with talent in nearly every position (probably best group of WRs in the nation; depth at running back; and like #57 at Alabama, #57 at Miami is a beast who could end up being a Top-10 pick next year. Remember the name: Allen Bailey). This team should win the ACC.

Pre-season ranks expectations IMO (top 5):

    1. Alabama
    2. Boise State
    3. Ohio State
    4. Texas
    5. TCU/Iowa

We have plenty of five star recruits filling holes on defense. We're also getting Hightower back. I'm not worried at all about our defense.

Florida signed the most five-star athletes this past recruiting season. I wouldn't be surprised for them to be right there with Bama. I don't think they'll win the SEC, but they'll give Bama their money's worth.

IDK....Ill be glad to have Donte back after the injury.....

but replacing guys like.....Cody, Deaderick, McClain, Arenas, Woodall, Reamer......

punting was a big part in our game because we'd have good field position for our defense to stop the other team.....but Fitzgerald is gone now....that kid could punt the football.

The offense is gonna be better this year....Julio Jones will have a break out year....if McElroy can keep confidence consistantly......then Ingram.....nobody will be able to stop the play action....

Saban will have them ready....no matter freshman, sophmore, junior, or senior

Had him listed first....re-worded something an deleted his name I guess....

Yea....he was big last year.....always breaking up the deep passes.....

Texans should be happy.....he'll be a solid player.

    Head says: Alabama
    Heart says: Michigan

I know that will never happen but hope Michigan can at least break into the top 25. They were in and out of it last year... so hope for the best lol.

Unlikely. Alabama has less gaping holes to fill. Brantley could be solid, but that's a BIG unknown. Regardless of how great this signing class was, it doesn't mean anything until they can win on the field.

When was the last time multiple freshmen on any team contributed to a high level of success? It hasn't happened. I don't see Florida winning the East; they'll have 3-4 losses.

Actually, this could be the first time in a while in Gainesville that there will be more losses than arrests. ;)

Alabama has some questions, but they're stacked at most key positions. Arkansas and even Auburn are the main challenges to Alabama.

The Stig: Michigan? BIG time LOL!
