Maybe if we had a POWER FOWARD? Then we could look for cool short people named Earl to be on the bench

we don't exactly have an all-star line-up of free agent PFs to choose from.

it's pretty telling when the best available PF you can acquire through free agency is arguably either Vearjao or Darko.

I think we are all expecting the PF situation to be taken care of through trading our overabundance of bench pgs.

Boykins though doesn't bring much to the table for us even if we have a pg clearance sale. james and boykins serve the same purpose as a scorer who is most effective coming off the bench. the only difference being that boykins has worse 3p% and defense. not a great fit.

and Durant can't even do 185 :p . I'd go for Earl in a fight between the two, he's got the upper...hand...pun...

it was the next line in our rap sequince but two problems #1 I posted it before him #2 that is not the correct line. Well parts of it are but he is missing things.

i hate to say it but i'd rather have alston than boykins.

sure, big guards can post up and abuse alston, but big guards can especially post up boykins and abuse him...

i've been for this idea for years, if not simply for the fact that Yao and boykins can do an invincible between the legs pick.

Boykins is a good player. If we could we should sing him from FA's list but it would be another guard. Then trade alston + other players for solid PF

Boykins was one of the guys I thought we should have used our trade exemption for (along with Chucky A). But with Mike James in the fold there is no reason to pursue either.

Matt Barnes is who we should pursue with the MLE. Not your ideal sized PF, but he is a lot more of a power forward than Shane. Barnes, Hayes and some taller spot duty PF/C banger type from the draft or LLE--that is what we should do unless we get a really good trade offer for a PF that I highly doubt will happen.

These guys are quoting a song from the 90's....it should be Earl's anthem. I had to google it to remember the rapper (Skeelo). With that being said....

There is something inherently wrong with a guy 5'5' tall playing in the NBA, I don't care how strong he is or high the guy can jump. Its like Lisa Leslie playing against the guys.

he's similar to mike james in that he can prodivde a scoring punch, however, we definitely don't need both on our team.

he can be a very prolific scorer when he's playing 30+ minutes though.

I would get him just so we have both the tallest and the shortest dudes in the NBA. :D
