I got my ear pierced when I was 14, in late 1986. It was borderline edgy then. By the time I was 18, it was VERY common, hardly a sign of being unique. Haven't warn mine since '91.
Speaking of ear problems. On one of my earlobes, there has developed a very hard bump. You know how the lobe is supposed to be fleshy and soft, well on my right ear, there is a spot in the middle of the lobe that feels like a dense lump. I've been nervous about getting it checked out, because I don't have Health Insurance and am a bit strapped right now. Does anyone think it might be a serious health problem. Could it be Cancer? Is there such thing as earlobe cancer. I've never heard of it. I've been googling this while I've been composing, and I've read some mentions about cysts. Could that be it? I know going to the doctor is best, and if anybody in the know (jcantu?) thinks there is the possibility that this could be a health problem then I will go. Damn. I've put this issue on the backburner so long, I've forgotten how scared I am. I guess all that emotion is only bubbling up now.
