Just thought I'd bring this back up since the game is out at midnight tonight for people who reserved a copy at many places. I'm gonna try to pick mine up at EB games tonight, but won't get to play much until tomorrow afternoon due to work stuff. Anyway, if someone is looking for an opponent online, my handle is: bilski2000 I've just made the conversion over to xbox, so pardon me as i take a bit of time to get used to the controller differences from the ps2! Anyway, look forward to facing some of you online. No cheap crap!
I'm going to stop by Fry's during lunch time tomorrow to pick up a copy. Last year they were selling the 2005 version for $39.99 on release day.
I'm pumped. The in-season recruiting sounds really cool. One guy at Madden Mania dot com posted a whole running thread about his dynasty with in-season recruiting. My copy will arrive tomorrow sometime. One of hte perks of my job is that I can find time to sneak in a game occasionally.
Ive been playing since 12 and Im still not used to the new controls. Its gonna be really weird for you NCAA veterans. The run and pass game seem to be greatly improved along with secondary defense. Whelp, gotta get back to business...
on that one site, vince got a 95, but was actually beat out by rodrique wright for high score on UT with a 97. adrian peterson got a 97 as well (boooooooo!!!). and not only does ginn have a 99 speed and acc, but 98 agility. i need to play a few games with osu just to see what he's like. i skipped getting 2005 despite loving 2004 b/c i just don't play my psII that often, but i may have to get 2006. anyone know what Texas is rated in the preseason poll on there? better be high.
Texas is rated 6 I believe. A little low. But not as unforgivable as my unranked Aggies. The drills are great. Especially the option drill. Madden players know all about em though. They also added the option to change packages like Madden has. Subbing in the backup QB while picking a play for example. I don't remember anyone talking about it but its a huge addition. Its 4am, I cant stop. Im like a little kid. Its that good though.
What do you mean? I hope they didn't pull an ESPN NBA and force people to use the directional stick instead of the buttons. I hate that thing.
If anyone is using DT Linder for their roster update this year, I have a proposition for you. I lost my Xbox memory card recently and new ones are way too expensive, so I'm hoping someone can send me theirs so that I can copy the file onto my harddrive and send the card right back to them. I'm willing to paypal someone 10 bucks for their willingness to help me. Please let me know if any of you are interested.
Just picked the game up at Walmart during my lunch hour. I stopped by Frys (no game, no clue), Best Buy (no game, no clue) and Toy's R Us (no game, no clue) before I went to Walmart. I thought there was a lot of hype around this game and the folks at the 3 stores I tried would know exactly what I was talking about. I was wrong. When I asked about the game, you would have thought I was asking about the meaning of life or something the way they looked at me. I get off at 4:15 which means this game will be in my PS2 by about 4:45. Can't wait to get my rosters back.
I'll be buying it either today or tomorrow. I don't enjoy it as much until i get Linder's rosters. Looking forward to the reviews.
What Fry's are you talking about? My brother just bought the game from the Best Buy in Champions and I am hoping to have my 2 copies (PS2 and X-Box) tonight after work.
45 and West Rd. I wouldn't be surprised if they have a big pile of 'em sitting in the back but the guy just looked confused and said "uh...I dunno". No time for stupid people today.
I picked mine up around 9AM this morning on the way into work. The Austin location had gobs of them for $37.99, which is an absolute steal. Too bad I'll be here in the office working on lead free issues.
