And the big game they were going to end on was already leaked (and seems to be a timed exclusive). Looks good I guess.
It kind of does look like a cross-generation game running on Source though. But looks clean, pretty big scale, and maybe most importantly, fun (from what I can tell).
Guess it is over now. Great job with MS on showing lots of games. Lots of good stuff. Would like to see more from the exclusives (the actual exclusives). Lot of inconsistency in next-gen games though. Some look pretty meh, while others do look a little more "next-gen" worthy. As with the PS4, I like the sharing features (though seems they might have faked some things?). Price was not good (especially overseas). Really should be $400 or less (unless there's something included that I'm missing). Combined with DRM and all the other negativity, it kind of negates all the good games they showed. Let's see how Sony responds. Maybe they'll botch the price too. edit: Also wonder if more negativity might be revealed later throughout the week, as with other MS conferences.
Didn't really watch most of it, but had it on in the background with the audio off. Will have to go back and watch the Ryse presentation, but I didn't really see anything that made me say "OMG, I must own this console!" in the way GTA III got me to buy a PS2 and Gears of War got me to buy a 360. But both of those games were released a year after the launch of the consoles.
LOL @ $500. Microsoft has lost their minds, I really am going to pass on the Spybox One. Sony better kill it tonight.
So MS pretty much outright lies about what games are exclusive (e.g., MGS5 Xbone exclusive), and if someone calls them out, "oops, that was a honest mistake." Stay classy MS. (maybe Sony/others does that too, but I swear MS is much worse at this)
Isn't one of the reasons the 360 was initially more popular than the PS3 because the PS3 had a $500/$600 launch price? Why would Microsoft go and make the same mistake unless they thought the PS4 was going to match it? FWIW, I read a while back that the PS4 was expected to launch at a price less than what the PS3 did. I guess we'll see tonight.
