lol its a mgs spinoff, is not even a real mgs game, lol @ xbox fanboys getting all happy. brb playing mgs4 as snake
Now that I had a chance to watch the rest of the conference, it was a pretty solid one. They covered a lot of bases; games (really happy about Crackdown 2 and Wake looked great), casual stuff, media stuff. Even adding the 'extras' - Last.fm, Netflix, Facebook, Twitter - all through the XBOX is going to give them a little bit of everything for each audience. All the way around, they did a solid job.
I haven't really read up on it yet, but unless Kojima isn't directing it or something like that, I wouldn't be downplaying Rising as just some spinoff. I wouldn't doubt it if perhaps it is basically MGS5. Certainly better than getting MGS4. Alan Wake is probably one of the 3-4 things I have looked at. Looks nice. Can't wait to see more (hated the media blackout Remedy did).
i didn't write that, it was just a cut and paste of an article. besides konami sucks. they haven't made a good game since Contra or Track and Field or Double Dribble <object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/VIDlCtjRxHs&hl=en&fs=1"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/VIDlCtjRxHs&hl=en&fs=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>
MGS: R isn't a 360-exclusive. At best it's going to be a timed-exclusive. Still think Sony tomorrow will top MS.
it's unbelievable that you guys have been waiting for this game for this long. capcom has already released a Street Fighter 4 and the Rockets made the 2nd round and there's still no FF13.
rookie, you don't know about double dribble. so don't hate on it. what am i arguing about? i'm posting E3 crap from a ign. you know what ign is?
Oh, snap, Rookie. You better beware of tinman's e-wrath. Dude has got one major e-reputation as an e-bully around these parts. You best not mess with him in real life or he'll e-burn you to the ground!
lmao at calling me a rookie thinking i give two ****s. feel special you're a "contributing member" on a online forum? want a cookie?
you got issues dude, like a lot of them. #1 the first thing I posted on MSG Xbox was an article, which NONE of it was written by me. but you seem to think it offended you since you are PS fanboy. #2 You are angry I threw some old school Konami knowledge on you #3 it's obvious that you don't like it when i call you a rookie
hey RC, did you see this? <embed src='http://videomedia.ign.com/ev/ev.swf' flashvars='object_ID=14354412&downloadURL=http://xbox360movies.ign.com/xbox360/video/article/989/989156/lionhead_natalproject_e3_flvlowwide.flv&allownetworking="all%"' type='application/x-shockwave-flash' width='433' height='360'></embed><div style='width:433;'><a href='http://xbox360.ign.com/objects/143/14354412.html'>More Lionhead "Milo" Project News & Previews</a></div>
If you don't think many of the Castlevania series have been good games, you're crazy. And the first MGS was pretty damn good.
I've been hearing too many people (actually only hardcore Sony fans, and I don't know why this is?) saying the game is a spin-off. Kojima is behind the game. They didn't hand it over to someone else to make a spin-off game. Kojima has said that MGS4 was the last story of Snake. Kojima has said that he wants to create a more westernized game. Kojima has given absolutely zero hints that he's interested in creating a traditional MGS anymore. Putting all these together, I'm pretty confident that this is going to be his new vision of MGS. Whether it's called MGS5 or not really doesn't matter (Call of Duty 6 even dropped the "Call of Duty 6" from it's name). Waiting for a game starring Snake to proclaim it as a proper sequel to MGS4 would be foolish IMO. We might be waiting forever in that case. This is the game. The sequel to MGS4. I'm happy it stars Raiden and not the annoying Akiba. Raiden kicks ass!
Forgot to mention my favorite of the MS conference in my last post. Splinter Cell: Conviction. The game looks sick! It's like a video game version of the Bourne movies. This is definitely my game of the show so far (of course I haven't seen what Nintendo and Sony have to offer yet). I liked Alan Wake as well, but Splinter Cell definitely has me more excited. Halo ODST should be a blast with it's new horde like mode. Halo: Reach should be the next true iteration of the Halo series, and I've heard that "The Fall of Reach" novel is a great story. Should be good!
Bottom line: Don't quote IGN when it comes to MGS announcements. Not a good history. It certainly has killed some of the buzz for the game, at least for me. But I'm sure I'll still enjoy it...whenever it comes out. Yeah. It is...um...interesting. Pretty cool, although it seems a little more GDC-esque to me or something. I guess it may have some more cool features for gamers that I'm missing, but I would probably prefer Lionhead working on Fable 3 or whatever. Would be cool to see where this kind of tech leads us though.
