Oh yeah, for some reason I forgot to post about the probable PS3 Greatest Hits collection announcement we'll be getting soon: Too bad I already own Resistance and Warhawk, and my dad has MotorStorm. Guess that's why they're the greatest hits.
Wait, you like shooters and you have a PS3, but you haven't tried Resistance? I really liked it, probably one of my favorite PS3 games. Some shooters have eclipsed it in some areas, but considering it was a launch game, it is pretty awesome IMO. I've actually been replaying it recently, to prepare for the R2 hype train that will probably pick up steam pretty soon, and it is still a lot of fun IMO. Visuals still look pretty nice too, although in some areas you can still tell this is a 1st-gen PS3 game. So yeah...you should probably pick it up whenever this deal is official. If nothing else, it will be a nice way to prepare for R2.
Resistance is a great game. One of the first I played all the way through on the PS3. Co-op Campaign is hella fun too, so if you have a buddy or a roommate, have a few beers and enjoy
I was actually thinking about buying it a few months ago, instead I went with COD4. It looks pretty good, I think I just might buy it. I love FPS games. I think "The Darkness" should be a greatest hits game. That game was cheap but it was awesome.
Don't think it sold well enough to be a GH, at least not on the PS3. That, and it is a 3rd party game, which makes it a little harder to be a GH game. Wait until Tuesday. I'm sure we'll get more then. GoW 3 isn't even confirmed to be at E3 AFAIK (not counting rumors), although the GT video I posted earlier did note that every game in the top 10 was confirmed to be at E3. When they talked about GoW 3, they said something like "Well...it has to be there, right?" Probably not much of a secret at this point, although I'd rather wait until E3 to find out for sure. If GoW 3 isn't there, the GT crew will be getting a lot of hate mail. The 1UP Show had a special on KZ2 the other day, although it was a bit more about Guerrilla's studio in Amsterdam and how they go about developing the game. There was some new footage, but not a lot: http://www.gamevideos.com/video/id/19889 There is also a separate video at Gamevideos, but I'm guessing it is just the gameplay video from this video by itself. Haven't seen it yet, so I can't say for sure.
I'm looking forward to playing Resistance. Insomniac Games is my favorite publisher since the Spyro days, but I've been waiting for the price to drop on Resistance before picking it up (the PS3 set me back enough as it was). I anticipate that I'll be buying Resistance 2 when it comes out. I don't think we'll see much of God of War 3, but they'll probably do a teaser trailer for it before it launches sometime in 2009.
edit: you mean developer. the publisher in this case is sony. I realize this is anal, but my intention is to be a developer at some point so I figure I'll pass education as I can.
I saw that after I posted and realized my mistake. Good catch, though. I don't consider that anal. My sister is an English major and points out every split infinitive. That's anal.
Yeah, I don't expect much either. Teaser trailer and probably not much else, like you said. Might not even be gameplay/real-time, although I'd hope it is.
Looks like Sony finally got around to linking the PS3 PSN accounts to the accounts at their website. You can now check out your friends list online, along with maybe some other stuff (haven't really checked it out much). Basically, log int to the website click the button that says something about linking to your PSN account, and then log in to that account. You may have to log out and log back in to see the results. I had to log out and wait maybe 5-10 minutes before the changes took place. May still be buggy/slow or something. <a href="http://www.us.playstation.com/PSN/Users/RC_Cola"><img src="http://pid.us.playstation.com//user/RC_Cola.jpg" width="235" height="149" border="0" /></a> (not sure what this is supposed to link to...although maybe that's because I'm trying to view my own account or something). edit: Oh yeah, the website for those that don't know it: http://www.us.playstation.com/
Look at this crap filled list of E3 confirmed games for the PS3. http://www.ps3attitude.com/2008/07/e3-2008-every-confirmed-ps3-game.html Theres probably only 5 games on this list that I look forward to.

You probably already found a link by now, but: http://xbox360.ign.com/articles/888/888967p1.html And yeah, that is pretty shocking. Don't think there is anything Sony can do tomorrow to come close to matching this kind of announcement. This will definitely be the highlight of E3 (well, I guess Nintendo can have some crazy stuff but whatever). Sony could show off GoW3 gameplay and even have a FF7 remake, and it wouldn't really mean as much (especially since with this move, the FF7 remake would probably be on 360 too). For their sake, they better have the other FF13 game exclusive and maybe a few other SE RPGs (next-gen DQ?), but that seems pretty unlikely at this point. I still want a date for FF13 though. Might comment on the other stuff MS had at their conference later, but it was definitely entertaining...not always in good ways though.
