A friend of mine worked at an office one time and this new boss came and accidentally sent out a company wide email that he only meant to go to a few of the higher-ups. Basically, the email was short and simple, and detailed how he was planning on slowly laying off all the engineers over 50 and start hiring in his own people. D'oh.
I work in sports and people flock to food like it's crack here too. Since we're (not me - the team) are ballers we spend money on catering
Until now! HAH! My friends and I do codenames too. They're usually completely off the wall names like "lush queen" and "treasure troll" and "Q-tip".
It is sad how people act when it comes to free food (junk food) at work. This is also why this country is so overweight. Gluttons.
I use that same philosophy. If someone at work ever pisses me off, I'll always vent to a trusted co-worker in person or on the phone and not by email. Too easy to make a mistake like that. Oh well, Davidoff, it will be okay. Just avoid her for the next couple of months.
My wife recently graduate from Rice's MBA program. They would have these party's every thursday to celebrate the end of the school week (Friday is the day they all met for group work). Anyhow they always had various food catered there and no matter what food they had all the vegetarian stuff would get eaten by the non veg people. I always felt bad for her. Non veg people leave the vegetarian stuff there. You know you don't like it.
At least you didn't accidentally email your mom p*rn!! http://forum.bodybuilding.com/showthread.php?t=5236203
Once, while we were calling the Frenchies traitors and sissies during the post-911 era, a coworker sent a message to ALL EXCHANGE USERS... he said that "the network was back up. Please feel at liberty to reconnect". Well, I took the email, changed the word "liberty" to "FRENCH" because everyone in the U.S. was protesting against the French, and it ended up being: "The network is back up. Please feel at Frenchies to reconnect." My dumb self didn't see that I hit "reply-to-all" instead of "reply", and it went to the entire CAMPUS email. Needless to say, upper IT management approached the Exchange administrator, and he was asked to exclude everyone without a "manager" title from sending to ALL the USERS. It was henceforth known as the [my_last_name] Rule for email.
The only thing close to this I have done is accidentally sending an email meant for my mother to one of my former professors, but it wasn't really a big deal, especially since I have a closer relationship with the former professor than I do my mother.
Dude. This here deserves its own thread. Please GIVE. GIVE. I want to know how "closer" you were to your teacher... and how long have you and Mrs. Right been married now?
I just got back from lunch and everything seems to be ok, but I want to give a week or two to see if anything really comes out of it..
Well, doesn't it depend on how many of the tacos she scarfed down herself? If she ate 3 or more, she's probably offended.
