Let me ask the hardcore Dynamo fans.

    How did we get here?

The English commentator slurped Beckhams nuts so hard tonight. Could've played a drinking game for every time he said "Fairytale ending."

I don't think Beckham has ever even been the best player on the Galaxy. Landon Donovan is and has been their best player. I'm happy for Donovan, because he's a good player and a class act. Beckham, however, is a grade A douche.

We got hot toward the end of the season, led by our MLS-leading assist machine, Brad Davis. He got injured in the playoffs, and the result was this game.

Isn't Landon's contract up too? I would love to see him playing in the EPL...he is a world class player and looks even better playing with better players around him.

This loss is disappointing, but make no mistake about it. The Dynamo aren't going anywhere. Brad Davis is at the top of his game, Geoff Cameron is really solid on the back line, Tally Hall was one of the top three or four goalkeepers in the league down the stretch and there are several young guys on this team that really came into their own. Brian Ching is quite obviously on the downside of his career, but he's the only contributor that looks like he won't be around for the long haul.

    They'll be back in 2012.

Never eliminate injuries from the Houston Sports team.

I'm no EPL expert. Far from it in fact. But I would think that Donovan would have been in the EPL by now if that was going to happen. If he were going to go overseas to a top-flight league, I think it would be in Germany. He has gone out on loan over there several times before.

That's his biggest knock, when he went there he didn't really do much. He's always used to being the best in the US and then when he went there the competition is just on another level. He needed to work harder than he did if he wants to have a decent career in the EPL, instead of just returning back to the US.

He was great at Everton, and they wanted him to stay. The transfer window opens up in January, I wonder if he will at least go over on a loan?

espn dude: "Tell me about that last moment after the whistle blew..."
landy: "Well, let me tell you about David Beckham... this week... "

Gonna get homesick again if he goes overseas. Just keep him here in MLS, let local commentators suck his peepee, since he's gay.

Well, congratulations on a great finish to this season, Houston Dynamo. Thank you.

I will definitely admit to being a hater, but you couldn't be more wrong about me not seeing him play until now.

BTW - Landon was really young when he first went over to Germany and never got a shot to play, I don't blame him for coming home, but at 28, if he has a shot, he should go play in the EPL.

That's actually a really good analogy. Nash made rather pedestrian players look really good by getting them the ball in great places and Davis did the same thing. Most anybody can put the ball in the back of the net if you put the ball right on their head and that's what David did so well.

I'm not sure that people here actually follow the EPL because Donovan succeeded in the EPL and is good enough to be on the EPL easy. Not for a top team but Everton for example wanted him but the Galaxy did not want to release him. When he was on loan for Everton last year he was named Player of the Month for the team.

If he wants to go to EPL a lot of teams would pick him up. The question for Lando is whether he wants to be a big fish in a small pond (MLS) or go to EPL where he will be a decent role player but never really have team success playing for mid-to-low tier clubs that never have a shot at the title.
