Oh, and you don't need a ticket to participate in this.

We'll dye anybody's hair red. So, if you got a ticket already and just want to be a red-haired crazy running around the arena, great. If you don't and want to try to be a red-haired crazy in a suite, be among the first 20. And if you don't have a ticket and aren't in the first 20, but just want red hair so you can be a red-haired crazy at one of the sports bar viewing parties, that's cool, too.

As for how long the dye will stay in -- I dunno, years or something, right? YOU'LL HAVE RED HAIR FOREVER.

    Mwahahaha.

ya'll better get there early. that's a very expensive seats

    from Houston chron.:
"Both games were sold out by last Friday morning. Of the 23 suites unsold during the season, 10 were certain to be "locked up" with the remaining 13 considered likely to go.

A traditional suite costs roughly $5,500 for a game. A "party" suite, which serves from 12 to 50 guests, can range from $3,000 to $15,000 depending on the number of guests and size of the suite."

    Tim:

I keep hearing an ad on Sports Radio 610 about a sign making contest.

SOmething about whoever makes the best Rockets sign gets to watch the game in a suite.

Could you give some more info on this contest please?

    Thanks.

I remember the Barkley baldy promotion from the early 90s. If you went and get your head shaved outside of the summit, you got free rockets tickets to a game. (The next year they did it at Kirby and Richmond i believe) If you were a girl and had your head shaved, you got free season tickets. That was the first time I ever had my head shaved and I've been rocking that style the vast majority of the time since.

Fortunately for me, I also had 2 very punk rock female next door neighbors that happened to be hanging at my house the night I heard about the promotion. They were more than happy to have their heads shaved for me to get 2 sets of 2 season tickets. I took both of them to one game and took them out to dinner. My friends and I REALLY appreciated it.

How bout free season tickets if you're a girl and you dye your hair red Tim? My girlfriend's been wanting to do something new to her hair.

    Tim,
    I had an idea.
How about a 6th man contest ever home game where the biggest Rockets fan in attendance gets a autographed authentic pro-cut player jersey? One the player would actualy wear, not something left over in a regular person size from the pro shop.

A pro-cut would have extra special re-sell or sentimental value.

I really dont know about the jerseys you give away cause I have yet to receive one, but maybe I will soon as Ive been a season ticket member for quite a while now.

Autographed Bball would also be cool.

I think I've seen this before but not every game.

And what happened to the court-side give away seats?

That would be really cool and have me acting crazy!!!;)

    Elaine: What is that?

    Puddy: That's the letter 'D'.

Elaine: Why is the letter 'D' painted on your chest?

Puddy: Well, I'm going to the game tonight, and me and these five other guys are gonna take our shirts off and spell out 'Devils'.

Elaine: But you said no more painting.

Puddy: No, I said no more face painting, and as you can see this is not my face.

    Elaine: Yeah, that's right.

I would like to reiterate the question:

What time will you allow the line to form? I just got permission from the wife and will be asking for Friday off at work tomorrow. I have a bunch of hair and would love for it to be bright red.

We're going to have a sign posted for the start of the line in the morning, and somebody will be assigned to check on the line throughout the day to make sure everything is in order.

The location will be somewhere out on "the pad" -- the area in front of the main entrance. We're still working out the exact spot -- the hair dyeing folks have a lot of equipment, they need access to water and electricity, etc.

I've posted my e-mail several times here, so I'll do it again -- timm@rocketball.com. I try to get back to most messages quickly, but forgive me if I'm a little slower during times like this when things are abnormally busy.

Crap...Today was my last day of class, and I swear, if I had a place to stay I would try to make the drive down to Houston tonight if I knew I could get in the line early enough to be one of the first twenty. This would be so sweet!

I have a buzz cut, does it matter how long your hair is?

Our 'Signs' thingie with SBC Yahoo DSL is going on a few booths over. Basically, we will judge at 8 o'clock the most witty & creative sign that incorporates the Rockets and SR610.

It's gonna rule! I want to see some stuff on the tv broadcast. As I have been a member of this bbs community for 4+ years there is one guaranteed thing. NOBODY is as creative as you guys so I KNOW I'm gonna see some creative stuff.
