    Are you talking about the same franchise that showed off its brilliance by passing on Chris Paul who wanted---let me repeat that---W A N T E D!! to play for them, selecting Marvin Williams instead?

    Yeah that was a worse decision, but it didn't involve a pre-draft promise like Shelden had. Basically all the mock drafts beforehand had him to Atlanta because of that fact.

    Maybe in the first couple picks it's ok to do something like that, but it really accomplishes nothing, and it's especially stupid if you're in the middle of the draft making promises. Who is to say a special player you had never expected would not fall to your team?
