Of course he is. Next year under a 108 cap he is 22% of the cap. He is still an all star level talent.
Riley to LeBron: "Leaving for Cleveland will be the worst decision in your career." Two years later, LeBron wins Cleveland a ring and goes to his sixth consecutive finals. Wade leaves for Chicago. Bosh is supermaxed and has a good chance of never playing again. Riley's reputation plummets. Don't **** with LeBron. Luckily the Heat still have Goran and Whiteside, and who knows maybe Bosh is cleared to play.
a formidable starting 5 but is rondo/wade the worst shooting guard tandem you could possibly have, at least out of reasonably good players? 2 guys who you literally just keep backing off of and let them shoot (AND DON'T GO FOR WADE'S PUMP FAKES!!!!). lebron vs wade in the playoffs might happen now.
and yet riley is the guy who is all about family and culture and morey just treats his guys like assets.

I don't think he gives a damn about winning. His wife wanted the Miami lifestyle & he got paid. Some players just show up to collect money.
It's true. I thought that was the courtesy of their career-long relationship, but Wade had different thoughts, and some of y'all agree that he's still an all-star level talent, so more power to him. We'll see how his 14th and 15th eek years in the league look. Shooting guards aren't usually too great around age 35. Not $20M or more great anyway.

what is cleveland giving up for dunleavy? he's nice to have but you'd presumably rather convince richard jefferson to come back. and he's not replacing jr. ridiculous contract though. people thought he took a super cheap deal last offseason. now 5M per year is unbelievable.

This offseason $20 million per year can't get you a great player anyways. If people can manage to spin Ryan Anderson for $20 mil per year as a positive, Wade for $23 million per year can't be that bad.
