.....which basically means they think Harden is the best two guard in the league. While I love Harden, I dont think hes better than either Kobe or Wade when those two are healthy
Im not a troll. Harden is a good player. But he rankings must be a projection. Because Wade and Kobe BOTH had better seasons than Harden
Its important to keep in mind exactly how these rankings are created, because a lot of people criticizing them don't seem to quite understand how it works: [rquoter]This year, we asked our ESPN Forecast panel to predict the overall level of play for each player for the upcoming NBA season. This includes both the quality and the quantity of his expected contributions, combined in one overall rating. ... We asked our ESPN Forecast panel to rate each player on a 0-to-10 scale, in terms of "the overall level of play for each player for the upcoming NBA season." [/rquoter] Kobe and Wade are ranked seemingly so low because many people (for good reason) expect them to be slowed down by health issues this year. They were asked not to rank the player based on how good they could be if they come back healthy, but what they expect the player's overall contribution to be this year. Its absolutely reasonable to think Harden has the greatest chance of contributing the most out of the three, since he's younger and more durable. If the question was something like "rate players on a scale of 0-to-10, assuming they are 100% healthy", then you'd get very different answers.
Wade wasn't that great last playoffs but he didn't suck. Ginobili did suck when it counted last season.
I think the rankings are complete BS tbh. Dwight was coming of major back surgery last yr....and they had him in the top 5. SMH
He did have to pace himself to be sure. But the Heat DO NOT win gm 7 without Dwade. and they damn sure dont win that huge gm 4 in san antonio when they were down 2-1 in the series
Yes. Beyond that it becomes murky. There seems to be little consistency as to how they treat injury and the aging curve.
