is D12s offense limited by his arm mobility?

i mean, he is quite strong and bulky.
i wonder if he has a limited range of motion and if thats why his offensive selection is so limited. not sure.

I know Dwight gets a lot of flack for not having a refined low post arsenal, but hard work always wins out. I've read the Nash and Kareem comments and others, but a player can always change so long as they are willing to do so. The time for excuses is over. D12 now has 2 of the best post mentors in the game on hand to teach him in Mchale and Dream. There's no doubt in my mind that Dwight is completely capable of learning so long as he's willing. Two aspects scare me and the first is how physically gifted our newfound center is. Often times the most physically gifted stars tend to rely on that inherent athleticism as it's always worked for them in the past. The second fear is that D12 may have a real disdain for the failures that so often accompany one's fledgling first steps.

I recall when I broke my right wrist a few years ago. Hoops was taken from me for a time, but my junkie like fixation with basketball had me on the courts doing everything with my left hand. Fast forward a few short months, and I had a vast array of left handed shots. The 3 ball is sketchy at best, but I discovered a reliable mid-range lefty jumper, became so comfortable driving left that I've begun to favor it a la John Wall, and best of all I found a bank shot game from 16 feet and in that I never would've had. The hardest and yet most intriguing part, for me anyways, was the mental aspect. I'd never relied on my left for anything short of layups and a baby jump hook. Thus in order to hone this new skill I had to mentally walk myself through the footsteps. I'd break down every muscle movement that enabled me to be successful with my right and tried to duplicate this with the left. Growing pains were a big part of the game, but by the time my right wrist had heeled I had a plethora of left handed options that never would have thought to develop. My hope is that we don't find ourselves with merely the healthy Dwight Howard of seasons past. Instead I wish that D12 embraces his new start here in Houston, and recommits himself in ways he's never thought to before. After all Hank Gathers was once a terrible right handed free throw shooter, until he realized he was pretty damn good shooting one handed lefts. You never know unless you try.

You guys gotta tell me what this LOH/ABJ business is...

Look, I don't think Howard is coming here to be "the guy" for this team. He will be the best big man we have though and probably remain as one of the best in the league.

I'd bet a nickel that the people complaining now that Howard will take shots away from Parsons and Lin are the same people who would complain about Parsons or Lin having a bad shooting night or a night where the team doesn't share the rock enough.

I see nobody contests my best 5 Rockets list.

Dwight has never taken a lot of shots. Sure, he'll take more than Asik did, but not as many as you'd think.
