? What is it with you. He had two really good years with us. He has done so much around the houston community too and has been good to the city of houston. Just because the basketball part didnt workout in the last year doesn't mean he is craving to be liked.

Playoff Dwight was a f'ing BEAST. I will miss that player. But Dwight the person, will be missed even more. Sincere or not, he was a great member of the Houston community and never failed to give fans a smile or a kind word.

For those reasons alone, I won't disparage Dwight Howard. Perhaps he was not a good fit with the offense and/or Harden, I am not going to hold that against him or take personal shots.

Loved Dwight here. His problem in LA was he was still recovering from back surgery & Kobe couldn't understand or stand that. He was really good here & a beast in the playoffs. I really wish he would have accepted the PnR style of ball as he was really good at it.

Good luck for the rest of your playing days.....except when you play us!

Nah, don't worry that he helped ruin a whole season with teenager level gossip and behind the scenes antics with Harden. Nevermind he gets paid millions to play a game and be professional, instead we get him and Harden don't like each other so we'll ruin the whole season for the fans and Houston bull****. Nevermind fans pay exorbitant amounts of money for tickets, cable subscriptions, merchandise ect and we were all held hostage by two gossiping unprofessional punks.

Community Service? This dude trashed a whole season for a city because he can't get a long with somebody in his workplace. Destroyed it. He gets paid 10 of millions of dollars the ****ing least he could do is go out and do some community service but he's not really- he's out trying to get positive press for his own branding and marketing machine - he's not doing it for the good of his heart he's doing it for PR - his agent sets all that up. He's as fake as you can get, that's why literally everyone who has ever played with him hates him.

Hopefully Harden can grow up quickly because I can't do another last year. It was disgustingly awful.

He quit on the team and then went on a media tour bashing the squad and likely harming the team's chances in free agency. An ad in a newspaper is not gonna wipe that slate clean.

Why do you want to trash James Harden in a Dwight thread?

I refuse to be an emotional goon and pretend like this guy deserves my contempt. He doesn't.

Bottom line: having him opened up a lot of doors for us.

It was a worthwhile signing; a historic one at that. And he chose us over arguably better options.

He helped give us that dangerously talented team that choked against Portland yet probably had enough talent for a deep playoff run. A series where he was unquestionably our best player. It was before GS busted out; anything could have happened that year. There was enough talent to give San Antonio a run for their money.

Fast forward to that summer, it was the thought of playing with both Harden AND Dwight that made Bosh even consider us in the first place. Unfortunately (I use that term loosely given what ultimately happened with his and Parsons' health), Bosh left us at the altar and we consequently decided to part ways with Parsons, but the whole idea of the Harden/Dwight/Bosh/Parsons superteam was only a possibility because of Dwight's presence.

Year #2 he was injured yet recovered in time for the playoffs. I don't think anybody needs a history lesson on this one. Our first WC Finals appearance in 20 something years. A run where he was arguably our best player. That alone should have every single poster here grateful for his contributions.

....and then there's Year #3. A total catastrophe. Everyone sucked. Everyone got worse. I get it: he tanked. That's not acceptable nor am I saying it is excusable. But the point is even if Dwight played at 100% all year, we were still first round fodder. So him admitting he sulked and wasn't trying? It ended up not even mattering. We still sucked regardless.

Above all else, one bad year doesn't trump two good years nor does it outweigh the championship aspirations this team legitimately had for two years because of his presence. Ultimately, a divorce needed to happen and both parties are better off for it. I wish him well and will always wonder what could have been in those first two years.

Way to save face Dwight. Now when you don't get boo'ed when you come back to TC, you can believe it's because of our love for you as a player/person as opposed to the truth.

You're irrelevant now and we're glad you're gone. Take that fake humility with you to Atl, quitter.
