Scola doesn't fit our long term plans. It's much better to let him go and let guys like DMo/White etc. get playing time. As a Rockets and Scola fan I'd be happy to see Scola sign on to play with a contender and take a shot at getting a ring.

I like this deal way better, but I know if they had the chose of the three rookies of course the Magic are gonna pick Lamb which I don't like. But I hope this is true. You don't give up everything you have which espn is reporting if the other team don't have any leverage.

If thats all we have to give up then im all for it. No chance Lin comes. NY loves the circus act he brings.

here here! The Rockets offer is an opening offer. 1 pick, 1 vet, 1 rookie 1 bad contract. Pretty much double that and you probably have more or less what the final offer will look like: 2 1st picks, 1 vet (hopefully no Parsons), 2 rooks, 2 bad contracts=Dwight. Morey has to have some assets in his back pocket to sweeten the deal and make Hennigan feel like he's "winning" some of the argument. You don't want the Orlando GM to FEEL like he is getting a bad deal..make him feel good by conceding some of their needs and its a win/win.

Maybe Dwight does not want to give a new list of teams...
Because he doesn't want the team he goes to to give up all of their assets.

Maybe the Lakers only pretended to be interested in trading Bynum...
    [CK]
Because they didn't want another super team.

Guys... CHILL. Unless we hear it from Woj (from Yahoo! Sports)

From what I have heard from other posters on here, this "Ping-Pong" guy is a joke. A fraud. He writes charismatic stores (that sound believable, but really are NOT true) like that of Ric Bucher from BSPN.

Move along people... Nothing to get startled about. :)

As for you Pingaling? You Ping-Pong/Golf-commentating wannabe? If your "write-up" was really true, we would see it on Yahoo! Sports front page... and to make sure my point was proven, I went to yahoo.com, and the first four articles? NOTHING about Howard going to L.A.!

Pingaling? You may hate the Rockets, like Ric Bucher but that doesn't mean you can make up BS stories to cause tension. And last I checked, Ping? Your name is NOT Rob Hennigan! So I suggest you put down that crack pipe, get up and move back slowly from your computer at Orlando Sentinel or whoever you work for (could care less at this point and too lazy to re-click that link) but what you wrote is nothing but a pipe-dream!

Awww does Ping want a tissue because if his beloved Howard goes to the Rockets, he's gonna cry like a little baby because he doesn't want to write about Houston all the time because we swept your beloved team back in 1995? Grow up sir! Jeez!!!

Guess Ric Bucher will have a new maintenance buddy in Ping when they both arrive at Toyota Center! :)

The deal outlined would be a great starting point for negotiations.

If you need to up the ante then you throw in the Dallas 1st rounder or either Patterson or Morris. Worst case you agree to take a second Orlando contract.

Sounds like another leak to get Houston to up the anti.
What exactly can the Lakers offer?
    - Andrew Bynun? ... who has said he will not sign an extension.

There have been numerous reports that the Lakers are no longer able to make a deal for Dwight and would need Houston to facilitate it.

Orlando wants someone to take on their bad contracts, young talent and draft picks, none of which the Lakers can offer.

Is Orlando willing to gamble on Andrew Bynum resigning?

    You guys are ridiculous.

This is like saying, "the Rox have a chance at D-Rose because the Bulls have all of a sudden fallen out of contention and he's fallen out of favor with the franchise." BUT Rockets fans don't want him because he'd be a one year rental (in this instance) and doesn't plan on re-signing in the near future.

WTF?! You won't even TRY even if you have a chance at a top 5 talent. Gimme a f'n break!
